November 16, 2010 is a National Holiday in PH

It’s been declared! November 16, 2010 (a Tuesday) is a national holiday in the Philippines. This is in celebration of Eid’l Adha (Peace of Sacrifice), one of the two greatest feasts of Islam (the other one being Ramadhan).

Yey! Holidays are always appreciated in this side of the world. We work hard and so we welcome every opportunity to rest and refuel our mind and body.

  1. Any online reference? Although it’s logical, since the last proclamation was no. 59, next one should be 60, but couldnt find it. Don’t want to celebrate just yet… 🙂

    1. Hi all, just wondering is this a special non working holiday or a regular/legal holiday? any response will be appreciated 🙂 thanks

  2. That would be great if it’s really true; but i prefer it to be held on Monday, November 15…it’s a sandwich day….sana tuloy tuloy…saturday, sunday and Nov. 15 Monday. Back to work on Nov. 16. How about that? Sometimes Gloria Arroyo always comes into my mind when it comes to holidays…Economic Holiday, at that…heheheh

    1. This is a religious holiday for the Muslims. How would you feel if we celebrate Christmas not on Christmas Day. Anyway, somebody reminded me that last year, only the autonomous region was given the privilege of having a non-working day for this holiday. I do not remember, if that was so.

  3. National Holiday on November 16, 2010 so it means non-working holiday?
