A Night of Rock ‘N Roll

Last night, we finally got to watch the premiere of the hit Broadway musical Rock of Ages. As expected, we were very pleased with the show. It was hilarious and very musically-entertaining. I was with the hubby, my youngest sister O and my SIL A. We all agreed that it was one of the best musicals we’ve seen so far.

We were also happy that we were able to get our pictures taken with the lead stars of the musical (MiG Ayesa, Vina Morales and Nyoy Volante) after the show. We waited for them at the entrance to come out and they were nice enough to grant our small request. Cool.

Grocery Shopping

It’s that time of the month again when I need to replenish the pantry supplies in our Bacoor home. I’m a little pressured because my mom suddenly decided to join us for the weekend along with my two younger sisters. She said she wants to see our new kitchen and spends some quality time with us. Fine. Haha.

Normally, our go-to place to shop for groceries is SM Bacoor. It’s just a 15-minute car ride from our place and the supermarket there is enormous and well-stocked. I liked it there as it looks clean and the cashiers at the counter are friendly. Oh, and those looking for barcode scanner online should take a second look at the bar code scanners used by these employees because they look sleek and high-tech. But I digress.

Rock of Ages Preview Show Tonight!

Tonight is gonna be a great night. The hit Broadway musical Rock of Ages which was brought to Manila by Atlantis Productions and stars our very own MiG Ayesa along with some local artists will be having its preview show tonight at the Carlos P. Romulo Theater, RCBC Plaza in Makati. We were lucky to be given tickets to the show and we couldn’t be more thankful to our benefactor!

Today’s mood: Excited. 🙂

Online Shopping for Maternity Clothes

Last time I checked, I already gained 10 lbs since I found out I was pregnant. Wow, that (and the already noticeable bump!) should explain why I feel unusually heavy these days. Actually, a lot of my pre-pregnancy clothes don’t fit me anymore. Bummer.

Meanwhile, I have started wearing dresses in the office this week and I liked it. Even I, myself, was surprised. I initially planned to avoid wearing maternity dresses all throughout my pregnancy but it seems I had a major shift in perspective.

Our Green Room

The master’s bedroom in our Bacoor home is green-themed. We didn’t really plan for it. It just so happened that one thing led to another. Before we knew it, we already had a green-themed room. Haha.

Nevertheless, we love how our room looks now. Green is easy on the eyes. It’s also the color of the environment, of Mother Nature. I just love green, period. 🙂

Caffeine and Chocolates

Ever since I got pregnant, I’ve been keeping myself away from caffeine in all its shapes and forms. That means I no longer drink coffee, tea and Coke. I no longer munch on my fave chocolates, either. Prior to my pregnancy, I have started to appreciate dark chocolates pa naman because of its nutritional benefits. Sigh.

According to my research, caffeine is not totally safe for pregnant women and that its intake should be limited, if not stopped. Caffeine is a stimulant and when regularly taken during pregnancy, may result to miscarriage, stillbirth and low birth weight. I chose to be on the safe side. It’s a good thing that my body is responding well as I don’t crave for it at all.
