I can’t afford to get sick.

The night before last, I was not feeling well and thought I’d succumb to flu. My throat felt sore, my head ached bad and I had chills all over my body. I was panicking because I didn’t want to get sick while pregnant. I knew it wouldn’t harm the baby just yet but it wouldn’t do any good to it, either.

To combat the sick feeling, I took a 500 mg of Ascorbic Acid, drank more water and went to bed earlier than usual. The next day (which was yesterday), I woke up feeling a lot better. I couldn’t thank God enough. I was happy I didn’t get sick as I thought I would.

Five Months

I’m five months pregnant and life can’t be more exciting for me. Our baby has been more active than ever, making stronger kicks and flutters every now and then. Feeling these movements from our little one never fails to make our day. I don’t even mind getting disturbed from my precious slumber by the baby in the middle of the night, which has been the case lately.

The only pregnancy symptom I’m having these days is heartburn. I manage it by eating small meals or when it has already struck, I would sit up straight to elongate the lining on my esophagus or just let the pain go away on its own (usually takes a few minutes).

Fifty Shades Trilogy by E.L. James

I may not be a voracious reader but I enjoy reading books especially fiction, non-fiction and inspirational ones. If I had ample time in my hands, I would dedicate a good portion of it on reading. I got curious when I researched on it online because the theme was something new to me. I’m still on the first book and yet I’m already excited to finish reading the third. That’s how addicting this trilogy is.

Sunday Date

Yesterday, I granted the hubby’s wish to watch yet another Spiderman movie. Well, I heard it’s a new franchise of the popular comic book superhero with new lead stars (Andrew Garfield as Spiderman and Emma Stone as his love interest) and cast. It sounded nice to me and since we were quite bored at home on a Sunday afternoon, I decided to go out and hit the nearby SM Bacoor. The hubby was obviously pleased.

The Amazing Spiderman movie didn’t disappoint. According to the hubby, it stayed true to its Marvel comic story. Spiderman’s movements were fast yet fluid and the action scenes were shot nicely. I think it helped that the movie was shown on a hi-def screen because we were able to appreciate the flow of the story more. In the end, the hubby enjoyed the film and so did his wife.
