While I don’t shop a lot (you might wanna read about my successful 11-month long shopping fast last year), I have this special shopping list in my head containing several “wanted” items. I have sworn to myself that I would not look for these stuff. If I’d see one accidentally, I’d buy it immediately (provided I also have money at the time). No questions asked. It’s like destiny, with the item and I being meant for each other.
Such was the case with this black business dress by SM Woman.
Thursday of last week, The hubby and I was buying a gift for his goddaughter who celebrated her birthday last weekend when I saw it at the ladies section of SM Department Store (SM Manila branch). From P1,399.75, the price was slashed down to P600 (that’s more than 50% off!). The size was medium and it was the only one left in that size. I snatched it off the rack, brought it to the dressing room and tried it on. When I got out, I showed it to the hubby who was waiting for me just outside the cubicle. He said it fit just right but I thought I needed to shed a few more pounds to look good and confident in it.
What do you think?
Before buying the dress, I inspected it and it was in perfect condition, no damage whatsoever. The outer fabric is a blend of spandex and nylon, quite similar to what we see in swimsuits and thick leggings. To keep it cool inside, it has a lining of polyester (my guess, but I stand corrected). It has a magic zipper at the back and the front has some subtle lines at the right places to flatter the figure.
It’s a midi, not a mini, which I think makes it very appropriate to wear for work. Actually, it can easily transition from day to evening events. It can take me from work to party, except that I don’t party much. Haha. 🙂
That’s what you call “Tadhana” ms. edel (parang title ng pelikula lang, heheh) – meant to be kayo talaga ng black dress na yan, biro mo nagpakita sa yo, sale na, bagay na bagay pa sa yo 🙂
Haha, korek…that thing called tadhana, ba’t nga ba hindi ko agad naisip yun. Thank you, Grace! 🙂
Great find! And a great staple too because it will never run out of style. 🙂

Wow! What a perfect find! Bagay na bagay sa iyo. May I suggest a pair of peeptoe pumps to go with your perfect LBD?

Thank you so much, Kayni! 🙂
Bagay nga Edel! Wear heels and put on accessories para sexy corporate chic ang dating.
Sounds like a great idea. I will! Thank you, Jill! 🙂
Huwag mo na kaming tanungin ng “What do you think?” Tignan mo na lang ang kutitap sa mga mata ni hubby habang suot mo ang LBD! :p
Hahaha, natawa ako dun. Salamat, sis! 🙂
