I dream of a time when I could date my parents every week. I have always believed that family always comes first and that just spending time with them is one of the happiest and most worthwhile things I could do in life. That’s why I’m glad I got to spend the weekend with my parents. The hubby and I drove to Bacoor with them on Friday night, right after we had family dinner at a Chinese restaurant to celebrate Edwin’s 39th birthday.
Our weekend turned out to be fun and as laidback as it should be except for the side pasyal to Biñan City in Laguna on Saturday afternoon to visit my aunt and my two cousins (one of them is an OFW who has just come back from Bahrain for a short vacation). After catching up with just my aunt because my cousins had previous commitments, we took home some pasalubongs. It was getting late so we had a stop over at Nuvali in Sta. Rosa City to have dinner pa pala. Banapple was my personal choice because I only get to taste their popular banoffie pie whenever I’m in the area. Haha.
Here are some photos from our weekend:

Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Dainty Low Top shoes
My very first pair of Converse shoes. I know, late bloomer! Well, it just wasn’t a priority to me before when I was still the breadwinner in our family and was struggling to make ends meet. Anyway, this particular pair appealed to me because of its rugged simplicity. I also like that it looks slim and sleek. Plus, it’s not too white (more like dirty white!) because I’m quite dugyot and won’t be able to keep them neat-looking at all times. 😛
The hubby and I, along with my parents, went back to Manila on Sunday afternoon, with still enough time to bond with the rest of the family and prepare for another work week. Time well spent, I must say!
Have a stress-free and productive week ahead, friends! 🙂
May you choose happiness always,

The first thing I bought with my first paycheck back in 2005 was a pair of Chucks! I think I have around 5 pairs, at buhay pa silang lahat! :p
Nice! And it’s great to know that they last long, sis! 🙂
Happy birthday to your hubby, Edel! And happy birthday in advance to you too! Mabuhay ang mga October babies hehehe 🙂
Yay! Thank you very much, Jackie! 😉
…Ay nainggit ako bigla sa chucks mo ganyan din yung akin pero red, yung sa akin kc inabot ng mahigit 5 years sobrang pudpod na kasi paborito kong gamitin kaya lang napilitan na akong itapon nung mag de clutter ako ng gamit last year…at dahil nakita ko ang new chucks mo pangarap ko ulit bumili nyan, heheh.
Happy Birthday to your hubby Edel! I’ll always be grateful to both of you for the financial help you extended while I was on chemo treatment. God Bless.

P.S. Happy to have helped a blogger friend in need. Be well always!
Super iconic nga talaga ng chucks, they never out of style. And tried and tested na ang tibay. 🙂
