Weekend Story: Tagaytay with Tropang Ramen + Another Resto To Love in Bacoor (Betoy’s Restaurant Molino)

Last weekend was carefree and fun. The hubby and I spent most of our Saturday with our good friends Nice and Melay in Tagaytay. Our Sunday was spent with my family. We were not able to go to the wet market and to church this time and instead, we just went grocery shopping and did household chores together. We even got to drive to Naic in the morning with my parents to pick up a few items from our family home there. We plan to have it rented out soon so we’re slowly moving things out of the house.

There’s something about Breakfast at Antonio’s Tagaytay that easily lures people to dine here. It could be the hotel-grade food, the attentive service, the cozy ambience, or the lovely view of Taal Lake that can be seen at the back of the restaurant. Obviously, the steep prices don’t discourage diners to come here because they really get their money’s worth every time. At least, that’s what we think.

this dark chocolate peanut butter cup ice cream was divine!

I missed going on road trips with Tropang Ramen. While Tagaytay is still part of Cavite, coming here means an hour or two of travel time (depends on the magnitude of traffic congestion pa!). Kaya naman sinulit na namin ang punta. From Breakfast at Antonio’s, we also went to Twin Lakes Tagaytay just to find out what the hype was about. We even dropped by the IG-famous Neri’s Bakeshop in Alfonso to buy some brownies na totoo naman palang masarap at mabibili sa murang halaga, hehe.

On our way back to Bacoor, we had a stop over at Acienda Designer Outlet in Silang. The place has more opened shops now and the crowd was still aplenty during our visit. This time around, I didn’t leave empty-handed as I was able to score a navy blue dress from the Mango outlet store for…guess how much…PhP438 only! What a steal!

Saturday OOTD

In other news, thereโ€™s this resto near our place that serves comfort food and more at affordable prices — Betoy’s Restaurant Molino branch. Like a decent meal here costs PhP100 to PhP200 only! The owner belongs to the same car club as the hubbyโ€™s (Team Accent Philippines) so we get a 5% discount on our bill as a privilege every time we dine there. Last Sunday was my and the hubby’s fifth time to visit and this time, we were with Mame, my sister Jodie, and my SIL Albie. My personal favorites are their chicken wings (their BBQ Sriracha flavored wings are the best!), chicharon bulaklak, carbonara, and Skippy peanut butter milkshake. I can’t wait to try their other offerings in the weekends to come!
