Weekend Story: S&R Members’ Treat + Tako Ibaraki Bacoor + Manam MOA + His and Hers Coach Bags

Last weekend was fantastic. The hubby and I spent Friday night joining the throng of people at S&R Baclaran for the annual Members’ Treat. (We were also with my brother Dan who hitched a ride with us.) Despite the “sale” temptations, we only got what we needed and could pay for because takot kami sa utang, hahaha.

so many things to buy, so little money ๐Ÿ˜›

quick dinner before going home

Anyway, I spent Saturday at home with our dog Jasper while the hubby took our car for periodic maintenance somewhere in Quezon City.

kunyari raw he was not in the mood for a photo ๐Ÿ˜›

pampering time for British (the Hyundai Accent)

We also heard the anticipated mass at Holy Trinity Parish which is just a 2-min. drive from our place.

feeling grateful

The hubby and I also went out that night to try this takoyaki place called Tako Ibaraki at Brgy. Pag-asa in Bacoor. Hmmmm, okay naman at mura (PhP40 for 4 pcs., PhP170 for unli takoyaki) pero mas masarap at nakakaadik pa rin yung takoyaki sa High Tea sa tapat ng St. Jude Church sa Malacaรฑang. Yan ang dapat nyo matikman kapag nagawi kayo dyan! ๐Ÿ™‚

chillin’ out

okay for its price

On Sunday, we got invited to a dinner by our former bosses in La Cocina, Dr. Ramon and Dra. Ching Legarda. Such a nice couple. They really make time to meet us whenever they are in Manila as they are based in the US. Sayang lang coz my PILs missed this because they are still in Bohol. It could have been more fun with them around because they all belong to the same age group and they tend to reminisce about old memories (I always get a kick out of hearing them!) when they are together.

delightful dinner at Manam Mall of Asia

May I just point out that the food at Manam tasted amazing and came in generous servings, too. Their Overloaded Garlicky Chicken and Pork Belly Adobo was mind-blowing! Actually, lahat ng inorder naming food ay masarap! Prices were also reasonable and the service was fast and attentive despite the fact that the resto had a full house during our visit. We are definitely going back!

Manam’s Strawberry-Camias Shake was 100% refreshing (loved this drink!)

The highlight of our weekend, aside from spending time with our family and friends, was the arrival of our wedding anniv gifts for each other. We asked our kind relative in Canada to buy them for us when she had a short vacation in the US last month. (Thanks again, Ate Laura, mwaaah!)

his and hers

US outlet shopping rocks!

I have every reason to love my Coach Lexy bag (I know the hubby is equally happy with his!). First, I got it at a discounted price. Why spend more when you can get it for less and with minimal effort? Aside from its classic look, the Coach Lexy bag is very well-structured. It’s a decent-looking bag that can take you from work to an evening out with friends. It has not one but three compartments to keep your things organized inside. It also has a pair of magnetic snaps to keep your bag in good form while securing its contents. It’s my first time to own a Coach bag (I chose the Coach Lexy bag in coated canvas with leather details instead of its all-leather counterpart just because) and so I can only hope that it’s sturdy enough to last me a couple of years.

someone’s overly excited to use her new Coach Lexy bag (this was taken today at the workplace) ๐Ÿ˜›

Have a beautiful week, friends! ๐Ÿ™‚

May you choose happiness always,
