Grieving Takes Time

Grieving takes time because it’s an emotional process that requires a lot of positivity, energy and drive. The husband and I, though it can be said that we have quite moved on from the tragedy of losing our first baby, are still grieving within. We just continue to strengthen our faith in God so we could raise our hopes and dream again.

They say people who grieve can be hard to get along with at times. True. Sometimes I don’t wanna talk to anyone and prefer to be quiet in a corner. Instead of socializing, sometimes I prefer surfing the net looking for discount coupons, browsing shopping sites or even searching for auto lift deals. Anything to make me preoccupied and not think of what had transpired on that fateful day or the things that may have led to that.

Healthy Eating

I know this is TMI but my bowel movement is quite unpredictable these days. My stomach would suddenly ache (the good kind) which would prompt me to go to the restroom but once I’m sitting on the throne, it’d stop and my goal wouldn’t be achieved (haha). I attribute this to the lack of fiber in my diet.

The past few days I’ve been eating meat and dairy products non-stop. I bought breakfast cereals two weeks ago to reintroduce fiber in my diet but I always forget to eat it up because I’m always in a hurry for work. Good thing there’s always a vegetable viand in my lunch meal, though I think it’s not enough. I guess I’ll have to start eating healthy again.

The Joy of Gift Wrapping

While opening presents gives me a sense of gratitude and fulfillment, I find joy in gift-wrapping and see it as a fun-filled activity. It all starts with buying the gift items. Then you choose the perfect wrappers and ribbons for them. Just the thought of gift-wrapping is enough to excite me and give me a sense of joy.

This Christmas, I prefer doing all the gift-wrapping again. I only have a few gifts to wrap but I’ll make sure they’d be beautifully-made. I’m kinda meticulous when it comes to these things. Hopefully, I find enough time to do it before I run out of gift and gift-wrapping ideas. Haha.

Christmas Money

Are you the kind who allot a particular amount of money for Christmas? I am. And I do this for other special occasions as well. This Christmas, I’m relying on the bonuses I am expecting to receive at work. Hopefully, our employer gives it on time for me to be able to shop gifts for my loved ones. I can’t wait.

I actually have a list in my head. I have already bought some items on it while the others I have yet to acquire. I also have some things that I want for the house. It’s like giving our house the Christmas gifts it deserves. These include new towels and bed sheets, new set of plates and some cushion for chair (just because the removable cushion of our dining chairs are already out of shape!).

Back to Work

My vacation is over and I’m now back to work. It’s Monday and you can sense the busyness in the air. I felt a bit excited but awkward this morning when I entered the office, but eventually got focused and productive. As I had expected, I got bombarded with questions about my health and overall well-being. I just answered them either with a one-sentence reply or a plain smile. I dunno but maybe I was just not my usual, talkative self yet.

Being back to work after two months of vacation is something new to me. It was my first time to experience a maternity leave and the result of my pregnancy wasn’t exactly something to be happy about. I was clueless as to how things would go once I have gotten back in the office. But at the rate things went today at work, I think I did quite okay.

New Braces, New Dentist

After two years of wearing braces, I’m still a braces-wearer. But it’s a new set this time installed by a new dentist. I won’t say my former dentist isn’t good, because she is. Perhaps, she’s just not good enough. And I know I am to be blamed as well because at some point, I became a disobedient and uncooperative patient.

I had to get a new set of braces because some of my teeth moved badly. The result was undesirable and so I decided to have the affected teeth corrected by getting a new dentist to work on it. Given that, I had to pay for the services just like before. (The process had to start all over again as well.) Unfortunately for me, it was way more expensive than I expected. That, even if I had already been given a big discount.
