Weekend Story: Visit to Manaoag Shrine and Some Shopping

Last weekend was tiring but fun. The hubby and I, along with my SIL Albie and our good friend Melay, paid a visit to the Shrine of the Our Lady of the Holy Rosary in Manaoag, Pangasinan on Saturday. We then spent Saturday and Sunday nights at home in Bacoor.

My brother also met with us on Sunday so we could accompany him in purchasing a new laptop at SM Southmall. We bought some needed stuff for ourselves as well. All three of us would go back to Manila early morning of Monday.

Christmas Shopping 2015

It’s that time of the year again. Are you done with Christmas shopping? Yes? Not yet? I know some people who start shopping for Christmas presents as early as July. As for me, I’m still in the process of completing my list and trying to set a decent budget for it. I normally charge it to my credit card and get the money from my year-end bonus when it’s payment time. Unlike last year when I overspent a little, I plan to stick to my budget this time. Weekend Story: New Foodie Discoveries + Cooking Experiments

Last weekend started early and felt longer than usual. The hubby and I had dinner with our Cebu-based friends on Friday night in Alabang and we went home in Bacoor right after.

I had two new foodie discoveries in Alabang: Kulinarya Experience or KXP (where our group had dinner) and Café Seol Hwa (where we had coffee and desserts). Both are located at Commerce Center. They don’t just serve good food, but they also have fast service.

Weekend Story: Bad Weather, Good Company

How are you, dearies? (Oh diba, feeling maraming readers lang, hahaha!) I hope you guys are safe and coping just fine to the effects of typhoon Lando. Kakatamad pumasok sa work, noh? Haaaaay…

Last weekend was okay. The hubby and I drove home in Bacoor on Saturday afternoon right after attending his classes (his last for this sem, yey!). We dealt with the bad weather calmly and went on to enjoy each other’s company at home.

On Genuine Friendship

“Sometimes being a friend means mastering the art of timing. There is a time for silence. A time to let go and allow people to hurl themselves into their own destiny. And a time to prepare to pick up the pieces when it’s all over.” ~Octavia Butler

I’m not shy to admit that I don’t have many friends. I’d rather have 10 real friends than 100 fake ones. I don’t know with you, but friendship is something I don’t take too much risk in. I’m actually very careful in letting people into my life. I want genuine friendship, that’s why.
