Farewell, Tita Lourdes!

During my college years, I experienced living with relatives to save on resources and eventually, out of necessity. You see, I grew up in the province and my family didn’t have a house in Manila where the university was. I survived college with the help, both emotionally and financially, of relatives. One of them is my uncle Roy who is my dad’s younger brother.

Tito Roy used to live in Bacoor, Cavite with her wife Lourdes. They had a bakery then. I spent my freshman and sophomore days under their roof. In exchange for their kindness to accommodate me in their house, I helped in their bakery every weekday after school and during weekends when I had no classes.

Positive Vibes

I just realized that there are tons of things that make me happy. Well, actually, it’s our choice to be happy. We may be presented with people, things or events that could bring happiness to us but if we wouldn’t look at it as such, happiness would elude us. I guess it’s all a matter of having positive attitude and spreading positive vibes.

For my own interest and satisfaction, allow me to share the following things that make me happy at present:

1. a loving husband
2. a caring family and an equally caring in-laws
3. a problem and trouble-free job
4. reading books
5. chatting with friends on FB
6. sharing photos and interacting with friends on Instagram
7. eating healthy
8. going to the gym with friends who value health and fitness as much (or sometimes as little, haha) as I do
9. blog hopping

Moody No More

I’m one of the many women who regularly go through the difficult and insane phase called pre-menstrual syndrome (PMS). I get really irritable, stubborn and impatient whenever my period is arriving. I’m just glad the hubby is already used to this phenomenon. He becomes more patient with me and just let me be on days leading to my menstruation.

Two months after my emergency cs, I started having my period back. Somehow, I felt normal again. To be honest, a part of me wished to conceive as soon as possible but it isn’t safe and it isn’t the best thing to do. Also, getting pregnant is not on our list of priorities this 2013, paying our debts and saving up more money are.

Frugal Forever

In my almost 30 years of existence on earth, I see myself as more of a frugal than a spendthrift. Yes, I splurge sometimes but even if I do, I still set a limit to my spending. I know I’m not filthy rich nor a money-making machine so I really try to manage my finances well.

I want to be frugal forever. One who knows how to save money and spends it wisely, too. I’d like to start the year with a clean slate, money wise. I know there’d be temptations every now and then, but I’ll make sure to deal with them like a mature person.

Prayerful

I do pray but I can’t say I’m a prayerful person. I think the hubby is, but that’s a story for another post. Now, let me tell you a secret. There are nights when I’m not able to finish praying because sleep gets the better of me. I find out when I wake up the next morning. Ssshhh.

To compensate for that shameless deed, I say a little pray whenever I can and wherever I am. I noticed that aside from churches and bedrooms, places where people could get some privacy are very conducive for praying. I’m sure you know where those places are.

A Time for Everything

It’s a brand new year and what better way to welcome it than by figuring out how I could make the most of my life. It seems that I don’t run out of things to try and explore. If only I have a lot of time in my hands then for sure, I’d be more productive.

Actually, there’s a lot of things running through my head right now. Sometimes I feel like my mind is exploding. If only I could process my thoughts as fast as a microsoft pos system process sales, then maybe it will be easier for me.
