More Good Vibes = More Blessings

I was having a conversation with my officemate the other day and suddenly she brought up the topic of good vibes and how they seem to attract blessings. I couldn’t agree more. We went on to sharing personal experiences on how good vibes have helped us gravitate towards blessings, one after another.

Good vibes start with good thoughts. Having good vibes promotes positivity and lightness. Have you noticed when people who have a good emotional state or exude a positive aura are together, the atmosphere around them seems to be brighter and they tend to be more productive and inspired in what they do, both individually and collectively?

Swamped with Work

November and December are the busiest months in our office. This is when we organize many events for our direct client. The past weeks have been pretty manageable but this week is starting to get toxic. But I’m not complaining. I love my job because of many reasons.

I guess I just wanna breathe and to do that, I have to blog. And try a new restaurant or a new place. And spend more time with the hubby and my family. (That’s where weekends come in!) After that, I can face my job again and be productive. And the cycle repeats itself.

Decorating for Christmas

Have you started decorating for Christmas? I haven’t. Good thing we just have a tiny house and decorating it for the holiday season is easy. The hubby and I plan to work on it this coming weekend. Hopefully, we don’t get lazy by then. Haha.

We just have a few Christmas decors like some lanterns and garlands and Christmas balls. No, we don’t have a Christmas tree. Yet. I wonder if there are christopher radko christmas ornaments available in our local malls? I heard they have items that work best in tiny houses like ours.

Intention to Please

I was reading several pages of a Bo Sanchez e-book titled “How to Conquer your Goliaths” last night and from there, I found out he got molested as a child. He mentioned that this sad event left him with a wounded heart and to fill that gaping wound, he felt that he needed everyone to like him. For years, he only had the intention to please other people. God has healed him eventually but he admitted “this weakness rears its ugly head every once in a while.”

But I’m not here to talk about child molestation or its long-term effects. I just thought about how many of us, molested or not, tend to please everybody. It’s as if we automatically got this intention to please the moment we were born. Worse, it’s as if our life depended on other people’s approval or good impression of us.

How I Try to Live Below My Means

You’ve heard it before. Living within your means is good. But living below your means is better. I have been living within my means for as long as I can remember. And I found out it’s doable. But living below my means???

quote
Source: As indicated in the image.

When I started having solid “financial goals” this year, I thought about trying to live below what my income can afford. You see, the hubby and I keep our salaries to ourselves and we just share in our household expenses, mortgage payments, and other bills. (This setup is subject to change any time we I deem it necessary.) The exact percentages I cannot divulge here, but let’s just say he’s a real gentleman.

Pippo, Our Little Angel

Two years ago today, I gave birth to our first baby whom we named Pippo Matthew Mabalay Techo. He’s now an angel in heaven, well cared for by God. I wrote the poem below to reminisce, and at the same time, declare our undying love for our son.

Our Little Angel
By: Edelweiza Mabalay-Techo

God gave you to us, but only for a very short time
Just four sweet hours, baby, and we’ve always wondered why
We still don’t know the reasons, we still don’t want to find out
All we know is that, you were and will always be our biggest blessing.

We never asked for you, but you came into our lives
Life is really full of surprises!
We welcomed you with open arms,
And you filled our hearts with overflowing love.
