Weekend Story: Tagaytay with Tropang Ramen + Another Resto To Love in Bacoor (Betoy’s Restaurant Molino)

Last weekend was carefree and fun. The hubby and I spent most of our Saturday with our good friends Nice and Melay in Tagaytay. Our Sunday was spent with my family. We were not able to go to the wet market and to church this time and instead, we just went grocery shopping and did household chores together. We even got to drive to Naic in the morning with my parents to pick up a few items from our family home there. We plan to have it rented out soon so we’re slowly moving things out of the house.

Weekend Story: Gardening with the Mabalays

Last weekend was quiet and chill. I started Saturday by giving Jasper (the friendly dog) a bath. (He gets a bath every Saturday morning, provided I got enough sleep the night before, hehe.) Mame and I went to the palengke right after. We would then go to church, along with the hubby and my SIL Albie, in the afternoon to hear the anticipated mass.

On Sunday, the hubby and I drove my sister Jodie to her dorm. She opted for this arrangement because she hasn’t adjusted to the Bacoor-Manila-Bacoor commuting situation yet. We were also with Mame and my SIL. Mame wanted to take a look at her youngest child’s dorm kasi. Si SIL naman, nagkaroon ng stroke scare kaya sugod sila ni hubby sa St. Luke’s QC! Buti na lang, false alarm pala. Apparently, it was just a frozen shoulder (thank God!). We would then go back to Bacoor in the afternoon without Jodie but with my brother Dan because I asked him to buy some plant pots in Divisoria for our gardening session later.

Health Insurance, Finally!

So, the hubby and I have finally gotten hold of health insurance through the initiative of our labor union last November 2018. The money used to pay for the health insurance came from us (read: our CNA bonus) but because we got enrolled under a corporate account, we received discounts and added privileges. I don’t remember the exact annual premium anymore but it’s just under PhP11,000 per head. I personally think it’s the best deal for us at this time, coverage and price wise.

Weekend Story: Simple Things + Quick Visit to Our Naic Home

Last weekend was a-okay. I spent my time with the hubby and my family next door. I cooked some delicious meals, cut my nails, took long showers, finished a long overdue task (a.k.a. mending up a ripped throw pillow cover), went to the wet market with Mame, folded and ironed some clothes (the hubby took care of the laundry, as usual), watched a bit of Netflix, and enjoyed siesta time for two straight days. It was quite refreshing, actually, having done all those things. So simple, yet so productive and good for the soul.

On Sunday, the hubby and I, along with my brother Dan drove to our Naic home to pick up some stuff there. This is in preparation for the time when we have it rented out, which hopefully, happens sooner than later because we need money for the monthly amortization of my family’s new Bacoor home.

Weekend Story: My Parents’ 35th Wedding Anniversary Celebration + Bonding Time with My Godchildren

Last weekend was quite busy. The hubby and I drove to Manila on Saturday to finish some errands and that night, we hosted a dinner at home to celebrate the 35th wedding anniversary of my parents. To make it more fun, I asked my two godchildren and the usual suspects (a.k.a. their families) to come because they weren’t able to visit me on Christmas Day. We also invited some neighbors and of course, our new neighbors, haha. Because of the tight sched, I wasn’t able to prepare anything edible and so I just had food delivered to our house. We also dropped by S&R Baclaran to pick up some cake and ice cream for desserts. It turned out to be a beautiful night filled with chatter and laughter.
