Last weekend was quite an adventure. On Saturday, the hubby and I drove to Monasterio de Santa Clara in Katipunan to say some prayers. From there, we went all the way to Marikina to go shoe shopping at Pelina Shoes. It’s a shoe factory/shoe shop that sells women’s ballet flats, mules, sandals, and slippers in various designs. (We also saw a few pairs of loafers for men there.) We then headed for BGC to take our chance with Shake Shack but ended up dining at Din Tai Fung because the queue at the former was super long, as in.
Weekend Story: Family Time + House Renovation Preps
Last weekend was quite hectic. On Saturday, the hubby and I did household chores in the morning, went to church in the afternoon, and spent the night watching Netflix at home. On Sunday, we accompanied my extended family in purchasing materials for their house renovation courtesy of my sister Jodie. They even bought a new aircon unit because the old one they were using (which was sort of donated to them by my FIL) was acting up already. The time we spent at Wilcon Depot Bacoor and Alabang Town Center were both productive and pleasurable.

Weekend Story: A Christening, A Birthday, and A Few Other Stuff
Last long weekend was quite hectic. On Saturday, the hubby and I, along with Mame, went to the wet market in the morning to buy fresh produce. We also drove to Alabang in the afternoon to hear mass and go malling. Actually, it was just Mame and I who roamed around Alabang Town Center (ATC) because the hubby met up with his car club friends at this restaurant within the Filinvest area and he just picked us up at the mall when it was time for us to go home.
On Sunday, our first activity was the christening of a friend’s miracle baby scheduled around lunchtime. (The event was filled with good vibes and I even cried a little hearing the very emotional prayer of our friend mostly expressing her immense joy for finally having a child after so many years of trying to conceive. God really has wonderful plans for all of us!) We would then join the family at night for the birthday dinner of my brother Dan at…where else but our new fave Betoy’s Restaurant Molino! š

Weekend Story: Christmas 2016
Last long weekend was festive and chilly at the same time. Signal no. 2 ang bagyo samin sa Cavite. Mahina ang ulan pero medyo malakas ang hangin. Pahinto-hinto rin ang ulan kaya di naman masyado nakaapekto sa masayang mood ng mga tao. As agreed upon after we got married, the hubby and I spent Christmas with my side of the family in our family home in Naic. On Christmas Day, we drove home in Bacoor together with my three siblings so we could all go back to Manila on the 26th.
Here are some photos to describe our fun Christmas weekend:

Weekend Story: Malling in Alabang + History Convention 2016 + Work on a Holiday
Long weekends are love! And I say that even if I had to go to work yesterday. The hubby and I were already in Bacoor as early as Friday night. We spent most of our Saturday at home and just drove to Alabang at night to hear mass and do some malling. On Sunday, I accompanied the hubby in checking out the History Convention 2016 at World Trade Center (WTC), Pasay City. After that, we met up with my in-laws at Toyota Manila Bay before going home in Manila.
Below are some of the things that added color to our weekend:

Weekend Story: New Year 2016
Last New Year weekend was a blast. Both families (Mabalays and Techos) welcomed 2016 at our home in Bacoor. Our house may be tiny but it sure rose up to the challenge of accommodating all 11 of us. Iām happy to report that we were able to move around and sleep comfortably despite the limited space. Haha.
Prior to Media Noche, I hosted a dinner for my godchildren and other friends on the 30th. (Two years ago, I hosted a tea party naman and my godchildren loved it.)
