Weekend Story: Antipolo Road Trip with Family (Our Lady of Antipolo Shrine, Mom’s Pot Restaurant, and Pinto Art Museum)

Last weekend was super fun. The hubby and I had a quiet time in Bacoor from Friday night to Saturday afternoon. By Saturday night, we were already back in Manila to spend the rest of the weekend with our two families. On Sunday, we embarked on a road trip to Antipolo. We had three stops which kept us preoccupied all throughout the trip. We were exhausted at the end of the day but we had loads of fun. It was definitely another family bonding to remember!

It was my PILs who really wanted to go to Antipolo and hear mass at the Our Lady of Antipolo Shrine. I was the one who suggested to expand our itinerary. Good thing they agreed to my idea and so the lunch at Mom’s Pot Restaurant and the visit to Pinto Art Museum materialized.

Weekend Story: 3S’s (Sweet, Simple, and Special)

Our last long weekend can be described in 3S’s: sweet, simple, and special. Mame and my sister Jodie joined the hubby and me in Bacoor. They were not without plans. Jodie, for instance, had asked me to accompany her in getting a formal suit. She plans to give her “dream job” a shot and I’m fully supporting her. Mame, on the other hand, just wanted to bond with her eldest child and her favorite son-in-law. Haha.

Weekend Story: Malling in Alabang + History Convention 2016 + Work on a Holiday

Long weekends are love! And I say that even if I had to go to work yesterday. The hubby and I were already in Bacoor as early as Friday night. We spent most of our Saturday at home and just drove to Alabang at night to hear mass and do some malling. On Sunday, I accompanied the hubby in checking out the History Convention 2016 at World Trade Center (WTC), Pasay City. After that, we met up with my in-laws at Toyota Manila Bay before going home in Manila.

Below are some of the things that added color to our weekend:

Weekend Story: Daiso Finds + Game of Thrones Marathon + Avocado Ice Cream

Last weekend went by fast. The hubby and I spent much of Saturday in Manila and the rest of the weekend in Bacoor. We were with my in-laws all the time. Fun? Yes, of course!

Daiso Finds

The hubby and I went to Rob Magnolia on Friday night for some “couple time” and I happened to go inside the Daiso store there and get these useful stuff:

Weekend Story: Swimming in the Rain

Last weekend was a rainy weekend. There was no typhoon but the heavy rains that kept pouring on the ground felt like one. There was nothing more safe and convenient to do but to stay at home. We, however, was out early on Saturday to go swimming in Pansol for a cousin’s son’s birthday party. Family comes first, you know. Haha.

In fairness, nung nasa SLEX kami, wala masyadong ulan.

Weekend Story: Bacoor Staycation + MIL’s Birthday Celebration

It’s funny how I always consider going home in Bacoor as a “staycation.” You cannot blame me, though, given our current living arrangement. After all, it’s just the the hubby and me there and our room is as cozy as we wanted it to be. Plus, it’s air-conditioned! (Our room at my PILs’ place isn’t.) Well, I guess such a little luxury makes a big difference especially in this tropical country of ours. The fact that we only get to enjoy it during weekends (and not if we miss going home for the weekend) make it sweeter. I highly doubt I’d appreciate having an air-con room as much as I do now if I get to enjoy the comfort of an air-con room every night. Oh, the beauty of rarity!

That’s why I’m glad last weekend was another Bacoor staycation. We arrived home on Friday night and left for Manila on Sunday afternoon for a family dinner at Sincerity Cafe & Restaurant (Lucky Chinatown Mall branch) to celebrate my MIL’s 68th birthday!
