Weekend Story: More Yarn Shopping + Dinner with My Godchildren

Last weekend was quite hectic. On Friday night, we had a family dinner at The Hashery, the newly-opened casual dining restaurant catering mostly to students in Sampaloc, Manila. On Saturday morning, I, accompanied by the hubby and Mame, did some yarn shopping in Rosario, Pasig (Gantsilyo Guru’s shop and Lacion Yarn Store). After that, we all went home in Bacoor with a stop-over at S&R Baclaran. I would be hosting a dinner for my godchildren that night and due to time constraints, I resorted to buying ready-to-eat food and some easy-to-prepare salad ingredients from there. (I just cooked pasta and rice when we got home.) While I was picking food items off the shelves, the hubby was buying new tires which he had the S&R tire center staff installed to our car.) We got back to Manila on Sunday afternoon as I had this work-related meeting to attend. The hubby biked to Roxas Blvd. while I was busy in the office. We would see each other again at night and I would start crocheting for a new project before going to bed.

It was another packed weekend for us. We had lots of fun and laughter and we felt productive at the same time. Here are photos from our weekend activities:

Weekend Story: Paseo de Sta. Rosa and Nuvali-Solenad with Friends

Last weekend was fun and a bit exhausting. On Saturday afternoon, the hubby and I met with his thesis consultant again and after that, we picked up our good friend Carmela from her house and we all drove to our Bacoor home. The next day, Sunday, we heard mass at St. John Bosco Church in Sta. Rosa City, Laguna before meeting up with my superfriend Nice at the nearby Paseo de Sta. Rosa. It was Carmela’s first time there and so we were quite excited to show her around. We explored the place and did some shopping and after an hour or so, we transferred to Nuvali-Solenad complex for more strolling (and shopping, you bet!). While I had no intention to shop, I ended up getting a few things from this trip. Ang hirap pag may kasamang nag-prepare talagang magshopping doon (hello hubby and superfriend Nice!), hahaha.

Here are photos from the weekend pasyal of the Tropang Ramen:

Weekend Story: Better Late Than Never

There are only two reasons whenever I get late in posting my weekend stories: either I got crazy busy at work or I got crazy lazy to write because my mind is preoccupied with other more important stuff. It’s a reality that I have to accept. I, however, have recently affirmed my commitment to never miss a weekend story because it’s my way of remembering things, people, and events. It’s also a great reminder of the good life I have. I may not be rich or famous but in my head, I’m my own special person. I’m my own celebrity, if you get my point, hahaha.

So yeah, this weekend story took a bit late to publish. But this time, it’s a different story. I wasn’t swamped with work nor too lazy to make a blog post. It’s just that I encountered some technical difficulties with the blog. Life in Manila suddenly went offline and thank you to two people (special shout out to my blogger friends Kriska and Je!) who both immediately informed me about it as soon as they noticed it. Before I knew it, I had to transfer to a new webhost to ensure this blog’s survival. I have yet to get my complete blog back-up from my old webhost so I’m just making do with my own saved blog back-up and contents from Google caches. I’m still making a lot of re-posting and tweaking here and there. It’s a long story for a different time. For now, let me tell you all about my happy weekend.

Weekend Story: Slow and Relaxed

Last weekend was slow and relaxed, just how weekends should be (for me, at least). We went home in Bacoor on Friday night and drove back to Manila the next day. We had a family dinner on Saturday night at SM Manila courtesy of my father who has recently received a check from Pag-IBIG Fund after filing for retirement as member. Daddy also applied for SSS pension and that’s another reason for us to celebrate when his lump-sum gets credited in his own pensioner’s ATM card. Haha. He turned 60 years old last October and we thank God everyday for his good health.

thanks again dear Daddy for the treat!

On Sunday, the hubby, a Nazareno devotee, joined the thousands of people who flocked to the Quirino Grandstand for the annual Pahalik. He said there were more people this year than last year’s. Would you believe he got there at 7AM and got back home at past 9PM already? As for me, I just stayed in our room at my PILs’ place to do some crocheting. When I got bored, I crossed the street and checked on my parents and siblings at their apartment. I also slept a lot and I think that’s the smartest and healthiest thing I did last weekend, hahaha.

Weekend Story: New Year 2017

Happy New Year, people! How is 2017 treating you? I hope you are all doing great and you all had a fun New Year weekend. Last weekend was a blast for the hubby and me. We, along with our two families, celebrated the New Year in our Bacoor home. We drove there first with my two sisters and parents on December 30th and my in-laws and brother joined us on the 31st.

That Friday night, we even had the time to go out for some family bonding at Evia Lifestyle Center. We had a quick dinner and watched MMFF movies.

Weekend Story: More Christmas Shopping + Trip to Our Lady of Manaoag

Last weekend was spent with family and friends. The hubby and I went home in Bacoor on Friday night and got back to Manila on Saturday night, meeting up with my in-laws at Robinsons Place Ermita for dinner and doing more Christmas shopping. On Sunday, we, along with our good friend Carmela and my superfriend Nice traveled to Pangasinan to pay a visit to the Our Lady of Manaoag. It’s now a yearly thing for us, a tradition of sorts.

Here are some things that made our weekend:
