Weekend Story: New Year 2017

Happy New Year, people! How is 2017 treating you? I hope you are all doing great and you all had a fun New Year weekend. Last weekend was a blast for the hubby and me. We, along with our two families, celebrated the New Year in our Bacoor home. We drove there first with my two sisters and parents on December 30th and my in-laws and brother joined us on the 31st.

That Friday night, we even had the time to go out for some family bonding at Evia Lifestyle Center. We had a quick dinner and watched MMFF movies.

Weekend Story: A Birthday, A Deathday, and A Bikeday (a.k.a. Philippine Bike Expo 2016)

Last weekend gave the hubby and I lots of happy memories. For one, we were with our family and friends doing fun stuff. By fun stuff, I mean chatting, eating, drinking, laughing, goofing around, and just being there for each other. We wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Just like how each weekend should be, ours started on Friday night when we met up again with the hubby’s high school barkada at our new fave hang-out place, Borderline Food Park (BPF) in Mandaluyong City. It was our friend Vanessa’s birthday and we celebrated with her amidst the cheery crowd of BFP.

Weekend Story: Crocheting + Visit to the National Museum of the Philippines

Last weekend was relaxing and fun. The hubby and I missed going home in Bacoor due to some errands we had to do. He, for instance, had to attend his lone Saturday class in grad school. He was supposed to finish his master’s program last October but he encountered some problem with his thesis (a prototype). Now he still has to fix that and prepare for his thesis defense and hopefully, he’ll be able to graduate in March 2017. But I digress.

So yeah, we spent the entire weekend here in Manila. On Saturday, I went to Quiapo with Mame to buy some crochet supplies. I’ve finally had the time to learn crocheting with Mame as teacher. Boy, was she great! And I have to think I was a fast learner, too! Buhatan na ito ng sariling bangko, hahaha.

Weekend Story: Happy Together and with Family and Friends

Last weekend started and ended just right for the hubby and me. On Friday night, we met up with the hubby’s high school barkada who are now part of my circle of friends as well. We hung out at Borderline Food Park (BFP) in Mandaluyong City. The place was teeming with youthful vibe that, for a few hours of chatter and laughter, we felt like we were in our 20’s. If you are in the mood for food or want some clean fun with cool music, then this is the place to go.

Weekend Story: Christening + Birthday and SM Southmall’s Christmas Launch 2016

Last weekend passed by quickly. On Saturday, the hubby and I, along with Mame, attended the christening and first birthday of my newest godchild Maria Justine Riley somewhere in Quezon City. (She’s the daughter of my childhood friend Jenalin.) We drove straight to Bacoor after the event.

Weekend Story: Undas 2016

Last long weekend was filled with happy memories. The hubby and I went home in Bacoor as early as Friday night. When Saturday afternoon came, my in-laws followed us there. After they had taken some rest, we hit the road to visit the grave of my FIL’s brother at the cemetery, also in Bacoor. On Sunday, we stayed home to bond as a family and in the evening, went to church to hear mass and visited Evia Lifestyle Center (ELC) for dinner and some malling.

We went back to Manila on Monday afternoon. We visited our angel son’s niche and rested a bit. Then the Techos and the Mabalays, along with my aunt and my cousin from Laguna, went to Robinsons Place Manila (RPM) to celebrate my father’s birthday through a simple dinner. He just turned 60, which means he’s now a dual citizen (Filipino and senior), hahaha.
