It was just the hubby and me in Bacoor last weekend. We drove there on Friday night and went back to Manila on Sunday night, the longest we’ve stayed in a weekend in our marital home since the last few months. We just enjoyed each other’s company, and went out of the house only when we had to. Like when we heard the mass at the church near our village and bought some stuff at the mall on Sunday morning. The rest of the time was spent doing household chores, getting online, eating, and sleeping. Oh, we also had our Cignal cable subscription replaced with a different one (also with several HD channels) that came bundled with unlimited internet (3 Mbps) because the hubby wanted to and he agreed to pay half of its monthly fee (which is now higher at PHP1,575 because of the internet bundle). Super fine with me! Haha.

Weekend Story: Wedding + Birthday + Family Day
Last weekend was spent with family and friends (our usual routine). The hubby and I actually had a long one because we took a leave from work on Friday to attend the wedding of our friend Leisette in Pasig. We would then drive home in Bacoor on Saturday afternoon with my parents and my sister Jodie who was celebrating her birthday the next day. That night, we heard the anticipated mass at Madonna del Amore Parish and went straight to Evia Lifestyle Center after. We then treated our house guests to Chinese food for dinner at Hap Chan. Jodie’s birthday salubong happened inside the moviehouse where we watched Spiderman Homecoming in 4D (her treat!). We returned to Manila on Sunday night where we met up with the rest of the fam bam at Okada Manila to watch the dancing fountain there. It was another weekend to remember and be grateful for!

Weekend Story: Medical Check-Up and Overnight in Bacoor
Last weekend was a-okay. On Saturday, I accompanied Mame to the nearest hospital for a medical check-up. Because my brother has recently made extra gigil to her by carrying and hugging her tight, the area under her left boob got sprained. She started complaining about the pain and eventually asked me to take her to the doctor, but not before a few attempts by the manghihilot have failed to give her the relief she wanted. It turned out it was just a case of muscle inflammation that some warm compress and pain reliever could heal. Thank God! I can be paranoid when it comes to the health of my family (who’s not?) so I’m glad this simple health problem is resolved now.

Weekend Story: Celebrations
Last long weekend was all about celebrating and bonding with friends. On Saturday, I was at Via Mare, MOA Arena Annex during lunchtime for the christening of my college friend’s son. From there, the hubby and I went home in Bacoor and that night, we had a date at Evia Lifestyle Center because the hubby wanted to see the latest Transformers movie in the cinema house. But not before going to the church because the hubby’s religious like that. By Sunday, we drove back to Manila and attended the hubby’s cousin’s son’s birthday at Jollibee Grace Park in Caloocan City with my in-laws. We spent Monday just at home doing household chores and taking lots of rest.
Weekend Story: Father’s Day 2017 + Gourdo’s Placemats + Tory Burch Gemini Link Tote Bag
Last weekend was spent in Bacoor and Manila. On Saturday afternoon, the hubby and I attended the funeral mass for the cremation of my former boss who passed away due to some physical ailments. She was such a kind, generous, and intelligent woman with great sense of humor. I owed her a lot for giving me her full trust in my first job and for many other things. (Rest in peace, MPV!) On Sunday, we had a dinner with the fam bam for Father’s Day at our fave resto in SM Manila. My youngest sib wasn’t feeling well and Daddy was in the province so they were not able to join us. We made sure though to greet Daddy and let him know how lucky and grateful we are for having him as our father.
Weekend Story: Bonding with My In-Laws
Last weekend was simple and ordinary. We were with my in-laws in Bacoor and we spent time together doing things like watching TV, washing the dishes, doing the laundry, chatting, laughing about trivial stuff, and of course, eating. Bonding with my in-laws also included going out to visit the mall and buy stuff and again, eat! I therefore conclude that aside from having much-needed rest and spending time with our loved ones, weekends are for things that do not require much focus and thought. Love it! Haha.
