Weight Loss Update: 6 lbs. Lighter

So, from 136 lbs. (heaviest recorded weight last month), I’m now down to 130 lbs. Losing six pounds in one month is no joke. I worked hard for it and I’m glad my efforts paid off. I ate healthier food, moved a lot and did zumba twice a week. I think I’m getting there. My ideal weight of 120 lbs., that is.

Last Friday, I attended a knowledge sharing exercise at work. It was organized by our HR department. They invited Slimmers World people to engage us in a 2-hour health and fitness seminar. The speaker (a health buff guy with strong, big muscles all over his body) taught us a lot about how our body works to get fit: anatomy of the muscles, metabolism, immune system, energy, proper exercise and all. He also shared some exercises that we can easily do in the office, which I think are really easy to perform. All we need to have is discipline to make sure we do it on a regular basis to get fab results. Haha.

Updates on My 2011 Weight Loss Journey

I started 2011 feeling heavy at 138 lbs. I used to be a 120, you know. One month has passed and along with it came a happy development – I lost 6 lbs! That makes me a 132-pounder, 27 year-old gal. This is good news and makes me want to work harder to reach my ideal weight of 115 which is where one of my 2011 goals revolves around.

I have never planned to be skinny just to be called skinny, if you know what I mean. I think I have already come to terms with my own body. I know that being thin doesn’t go well with my overall appearance. My eyes would bulge out and I’d lose my boobs and my butt. I can only go as far as 115 that’s why it has become my ideal weight ever since.

New Year, New Beginning

My family and I celebrated New Year’s Day in our Cavite home. It was our first time to do that and we were so happy and thankful. We are all optimistic about the new year. Our 2010 has been very fruitful and we hope that 2011 will be better.

I don’t have a list of New Year’s resolutions but there are a few things which I’d like to focus on this year. Primary among them is my weight. I need to lose weight because I’m already bordering on obesity. I mean, seriously. I’m at 140 lbs. now. I gained 20 unwanted pounds during the last three months, imagine that! I need to figure out how to lose these excess pounds lest I get paranoid and depressed and sickly all the time.
