Weekend Story: Two Ramen Places and Two Unexpected House Guests

Last Saturday, the hubby and I met up with our Bohol-based friend Eric and his girlfriend Joy. She stays and works in Parañaque and he visits her regularly and vice versa. When the hubby had a short vacay in Bohol last May, he promised Eric that he’d take him to a ramen place when he goes to Manila because he got curious about the ramen craze here. So, off we took the lovebirds to Ramen Kuroda in Aguirre, BF Homes.

I was the one who picked the place because I haven’t been to Aguirre Avenue that’s fast-becoming a popular destination for foodies. And since we would be picking them up at SM Sucat, the proximity of the two places was just perfect. We were also fortunate that when we arrived at Ramen Kuroda, the place was only starting to get packed. We were able to get a table in a jiffy. We availed of their ramen sets and it was the best decision, ever. Their ramen sets were so sulit (worth the money)! We easily got stuffed. And delightfully so because the food was good!

The hubby must have felt bitin (not enough) catching up with Eric that he suddenly decided to invite him and Joy to spend the night at our home in Bacoor and the two happily obliged. We got home at around 10pm-ish, watched a World Cup replay on cable TV and continued exchanging stories before calling it a night.

The next day, Sunday, I woke up early to prepare breakfast for all of us. Then we had take-out food for lunch. I was in the mood to bake that morning so I was able to serve them my homemade chocolate cake for dessert which was fortunately well-received.

By 5:00pm, we took them back to Joy’s place in Parañaque and the hubby and I drove to my PILs’ place in Manila already. But not before stopping over for dinner at Erra’s Ramen in Malate. This was where we found the cheapest ramen in the metro at less than P100 per bowl!

I read online that the owner of the place is a Japanese chef so as expected, their ramen was oishi. We want to go back there soon!

What a fun weekend it was! I hope the coming weekends in our married life will just be as wonderful.

And you, how did your weekend go? 🙂

Favorite ko talaga chocolate cake and blueberry cheesecake. Gusto ko din makatikim ng masarap na ramen. Hay, ang diet! hehe! =)

    1. Masarap nga lahat, panira talaga ng diet, haha. Kaya nga ang weight ko, atras-abante lang. One day I’m gaining, another day I’m losing. It’s a vicious cycle! Kaloka. Thanks Joy! 🙂
