Weekend Story: Biking, High School Reunion, and Some Family Time

Last weekend passed by so quickly. I thought we didn’t have enough time to rest and be with family. But I guess that’s one great reason to look forward to the coming weekend. Yay!

On Saturday, the hubby and I biked at Mall of Asia (MOA) in the morning. I missed our Saturday morning ride for a few times already and I thought it was about time I join him again lest my biking groove goes away for good. My weight loss progress remains zero as of present time so I need to exert more effort in it. Biking is a form of exercise and I enjoy the activity a lot so I feel that I should do it more regularly.

While the hubby and his classmates were reminiscing their good ol’ days at their high school reunion held at their alma mater, I spent time with my family.

Nakipagkulitan ako ng bongga kina Mame, Dan, Nyam at Jodie. Daddy wasn’t around because he went to our hometown in the province to see his friends just in time for the annual fiesta at our barangay. My family and I chatted, ate, went online, and watched TV together. My brother Danison and I also had a quick trip to Quiapo as he needed to buy a few things. He was generous enough to get me my fave sinuguelas and ube hopia from Vienna Bakery. Nomnom!

We also had dinner together at The Patio which was on its last day of operation then. We just felt we had to be there as it said goodbye to its regular patrons. Huhu. πŸ™

The hubby and I went home in Bacoor noontime of Sunday. We then took a siesta as soon as we unloaded the car. When we woke up at almost 6PM, we just fixed ourselves and drove to Alabang Town Center (ATC). He said he wanted to check the True Value store there for some bike tool kit. Unfortunately, the tool kit was unavailable and he was advised by the sales guy to look for it at their other branches instead. So as not to waste our time, we opted to have dinner at the mall and do some window shopping na lang. We went home after a few hours of strolling around.

  1. Happy Monday! It’s always sad when our favorite joints close down. Although tbh, the last one I was really attached to was Fiesta Carnival in Cubao! My memories of it are hazy but I just like the idea that it’s the only memory I have of when the family was just me and my parents. (I have three annoying siblings haha.)

    1. True! Are you the eldest child also? I have three annoying siblings, too. Just kidding. Pero mas mababait na sila ngayon at working na lahat kaya masaya na ako kasi may kahati na ako sa gastos. πŸ™‚

    1. I can eat a kilo of sinuguelas in one sitting! Haha. I’m more jealous of my husband because he never fails to bike every weekend and almost every morning during weekdays. πŸ™‚

  2. I saw your Quiapo post on IG! I was gonna comment sana na drop by Excellente Ham hehe! Favorite ko rin kasi yun. Happy month of June! πŸ™‚
