Weekend Story: Going Out in the New Normal

Last weekend was fun and far from boring. On Saturday, the hubby and I took my in-laws to the nearby mall to have lunch. Citibank kasi has this ongoing promo that offers 50% off at Bistro Group restaurants for a minimum bill of P2,000. We took advantage of it and used my Citibank credit card to eat at Watami. Okay din naman because we got to enjoy delicious Japanese meals and only paid half the price. Dining out in the new normal may be unsafe and unnecessary but it is one of the ways to help the local economy recover. And as long as we are following standard health protocols, I believe we won’t be increasing our risk of contracting the dreaded covid.

Anyway, we also went out of the house on Sunday. We had to run some errands and more importantly, we were tasked by my PILs to pick up their early birthday present for baby NJ (who’s turning one next month). We drove to this typically crowded mall in Alabang but to our dismay, there were only a handful of people malling there. Isa lang ang nasabi ng palabiro kong asawa — amazing! Haha. It was also a bit saddening seeing some shops there that are now closed, either temporarily or permanently, because of the pandemic.

Here are a few photos from our busy weekend:

Watami’s ramen set was quite filling!

Have a beautiful week ahead, friends! 🙂

May you choose happiness always,
