Weekend Story: A Birthday, A Deathday, and A Bikeday (a.k.a. Philippine Bike Expo 2016)

Last weekend gave the hubby and I lots of happy memories. For one, we were with our family and friends doing fun stuff. By fun stuff, I mean chatting, eating, drinking, laughing, goofing around, and just being there for each other. We wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Just like how each weekend should be, ours started on Friday night when we met up again with the hubby’s high school barkada at our new fave hang-out place, Borderline Food Park (BPF) in Mandaluyong City. It was our friend Vanessa’s birthday and we celebrated with her amidst the cheery crowd of BFP.

I love this group as they’ve never made me feel like an outsider. We got along well in our first meeting and I couldn’t be happier about it.

On Saturday, the hubby and I, along with my MIL and my SIL, went out for lunch in observance of my MIL’s father’s death anniversary. It was a simple feast of Chinese food at Flavours of China SM Manila. Of course, we just had to order their unli yang chow to satisfy my our carb addiction. Haha.

The hubby and I drove to Bacoor on Saturday but not before checking out the Philippine Bike Expo 2016 at SMX Convention Center. As expected, masayang-masaya ang asawa ko!

We also took advantage of the opportunity and attended the anticipated mass at the nearby church.

We got hungry on our way home in Bacoor that we had a quick ramen fix at this Japanese resto along Molino Blvd. In fairness to this dining place where we set foot for the first time, their ramen was surprisingly good. We actually loved it! Plus, the price was affordable and cheaper than Manila prices. We’re definitely gonna visit there again!

We got back to Manila on Sunday afternoon with a quick stop-over at Baclaran because the hubby bought a bluetooth headset from an online seller with a physical store there. We got lucky to have found a parking space in front of a bank facing Roxas Blvd. Nakakaloka, akala ko talaga hindi kami makakahanap ng pagpaparkingan sa dami ng sasakyan at usad pagong na trapik. Tiwala lang talaga at dasal!

I think we reached home by past 7PM already. It was another refreshing and well-spent weekend.

Have a beautiful week, friends! 🙂

May you choose happiness always,
