Goodbye, Sun Cellular!

Last night was historic. I finally had my Sun Cellular subscription cut. And for good. I used to have two Sun lines (Plan 350), one for me and one for my brother. But eventually I got tired of it and thought it no longer had any use to me. I only use one phone now, before it was two.

For 30 months (the standard lock-in period), Sun gave me satisfactory service. I can’t really rave about it. They used to disappoint me quite often. But that was before, when their signal was still not that strong. I heard they’ve improved greatly now, but unfortunately, I don’t need them anymore.

Divisoria Wedding Gowns

The fiancé and I were in Divisoria yesterday celebrating the Chinese New Year together with the maddening crowd canvassing gowns and suits for our upcoming wedding. After checking out several shops, we finally settled on a shop that gave us the best value for our money. I was quite ecstatic because we got a good deal and the price we paid for the whole package was lower than our estimated budget.

Indeed, you can find everything in Divisoria. Aside from it’s custom-made merchandise like the gowns and the suits we ordered, it has a wide variety of items sold by piece or in bulk. My eyes got tired drooling on so many products, from funny shirts and serious outfits (no pun intended) to cheap accessories and unique home decors.

Loving Divisoria Night Market

I have always been a Divisoria girl. I simply love the bargain items sold there in overwhelming proportions. I don’t care about the crowd, the chaos, the noise and the filthiness anymore. So long as my wallet is safe and there is 24-hour transportation service, I’m good.

Last night was Divisoria night for my brother and me. We went there specifically for the night market. I only wanted to buy new bed sheets for our new bed but ended up taking home new stuff for myself as well. I bought a new bag, a new top, a new pair of shoes and some accessories. I also bought my brother some new shirts just so he’d stop bugging me. Haha. Can you believe I spent just a little over P1,000 for all of those items?

New Bed, New Bed Sheets

We have a new bed for our Manila home arriving this weekend. I bought it from one of the furniture shops right under the LRT-Jose Abad Santos Station. If you’re looking for furnishings priced way lower than what they actually cost at SM but with the same quality, that is the place to go.

The bed I bought is a double-decker bed made of steel and comes with two Uratex foams. I got it for P8,000 only. It’s scheduled for delivery this Sunday and we can’t wait to see it. I also plan to buy new bed sheets to pair with the new bed. I’m pretty sure Divisoria or Quiapo has lots of them. Easy.

The Start of Christmas Shopping

My Christmas shopping has started and so has my wallet’s draining off its contents. Rockwell Powerplant Mall is not my kind of place to shop (pricey is a mild word!). Yesterday, we were there to watch Breaking Dawn Part 1 only. (It was the movie date I promised to my sister eons ago.) I, however, ended up buying two items in the mall: a pair of shoes from Payless and a wallet from Charles and Keith.

If I’d have free time this week, I’d go to Divisoria or Greenhills already to buy Christmas presents. I’m particularly itching to visit the night market at Divisoria because normally, that is where I get nice items at dirt-cheap prices! I miss the crowd there (minus the pickpocketers, of course). And the noise and the many goods waiting to be bought. I simply love Divisoria!

Comfy Flatforms

In my search for a pair of comfy shoes online, I chanced upon some flatforms sold at a Multiply shop called Asian Vogue. I’ve already heard about these shoes before from the fashion blogs I frequent and upon checking out the Asian Vogue’s flatforms collection, I fell in love with this pair:

Aren’t they gorgeous? A little fierce, but chic. I love that it comes in brown, one of my favorite colors. The price is a little steep at P1,695, though. But I like want it. Gotta check my funds first if I still can afford a new pair of shoes after spending a lot of moolahs during our recent trip abroad.

If you were me, would you buy this comfy looking flatforms? 🙂
