Weekend Story: A Mix of Play and Work

Last weekend was a mix of play and work. The hubby and I weren’t able to go home in Bacoor again because of our crazy schedule but it was okay. We try to spend time with family as much as possible.

Our Saturday was spent at home with my in-laws. We had a lot of time to rest and sleep. In the morning, the hubby and my FIL went to Banawe again to have the former’s car’s air-con fixed. Remember he’s recently inherited an old car? (The hubby and I committed to shoulder the cost of the air-con repair to help him in the car’s rehabilitation expenses.) Anyway, they got a great deal — PHP8,000 all-in for a good as new car air-con — from one of the repair shops there. The hubby and I were too relieved the air-con’s compressor was still working well, otherwise we would have paid an additional of PHP14,000 for a new one.

Weekend Story: Manila Staycation

No, the hubby and I didn’t literally stay in a local hotel last weekend for some R&R. We just stayed in Manila, period. Haha. We had some errands to attend to and it was a bed weather kind of weekend so instead of going home in Bacoor, we decided to be with our family for some quality time.

It was also my sister Jodie’s birthday last Saturday and she planned a family dinner the next day so we had to be there.

Weekend Story: Mall of Asia + UP Diliman + Manila Ocean Park

Last weekend primarily revolved around these three places: Mall of Asia, UP Diliman, and Manila Ocean Park. The hubby and I didn’t go home in Bacoor intentionally so we could spend more time with our family and friends here in Manila. We were glad to have made such a decision because it turned out to be beneficial not just for our body but also for our soul.

Mall of Asia (MOA)

The hubby didn’t have classes in grad school so we were able to go biking in MOA on Saturday morning. His officemate Giannie joined us there, too. We had breakfast together at our fave Biker’s Cafe before going home.

Weekend Story: Two Office Outings (His and Hers)

So, last week saw the hubby and me going to the beach for our respective office outings. Mine was in the South (Anilao, Mabini, Batangas) while his was in the North (Morong, Bataan). It was an overnight stay for both outings and I left a day earlier than he did. We would meet again on Saturday night and spend the rest of the weekend in Manila with our families.

It was my third time in Anilao and my second time at Vista Aplaya. It was a unanimous decision to go back to Anilao because the place was simply beautiful and quiet, just what we needed for our R&R.

Weekend Story: Quiet and a Little Bit Active

We stayed in Manila and didn’t go home in Bacoor last weekend. On Friday, the hubby was away on a field trip/outing with his grad school classmates in Laguna. They spent the night in a private resort somewhere in Pansol. I would see him again on Saturday morning and we would spend the rest of the day cleaning, finishing some errands, eating, sleeping, getting online, and just doing nothing.
