Weekend Story: Joint Quarantine Birthday Celebration

Last weekend was special because the hubby and I, along with my sister Nyam, got to celebrate our birthdays together. It was purely family, of course, because we were still under MECQ in Bacoor. For our convenience, we just had cakes and some dishes ordered, except for the lasagna that my sister Jodie took the time and effort to make for us (thanks again, sestra!).

Our baby NJ is now the official candle blower in the family. Whenever we buy a cake either for a birthday or some other occasion, we make sure to include a candle or two for her to blow. The excitement on her face whenever she blows those candles is priceless!

Weekend Story: Baby NJ’s Vaccine Day + Minor Accident

Last weekend was quite busy. On Saturday, the hubby and I took baby NJ to her pedia in Manila for yet another vaccine shot. (This time, it’s Hepa A vaccine and we paid P3,500 for it which was already inclusive of consultation fee.) The rest of the day was spent finishing errands.

Our Sunday was not so happy because baby NJ had a minor accident. She tripped while walking (ang bilis nya kasi maglakad, mana sakin, waaaah!) and bumped her knees on the ground and her left forehead on the sidewalk. She cried really loud and my mommy heart got broken into pieces for a few minutes. Her knees didn’t get scratched but her left forehead was a different story. While it didn’t swell, it turned red and got a small scratch. We immediately put an ice pack on it to soothe it. We also observed NJ in the next hours for other symptoms. Fortunately, she didn’t have any and even returned to her normal self just as soon as she stopped crying.

Weekend Story: Grocery Shopping + Visit to Vermosa Sports Hub

Last weekend was quite busy and fun. On Saturday, the hubby and I, along with my sister Jodie and my SIL Albie, went grocery shopping at Puregold Molito. (We like it there because the prices are cheaper and there is lesser crowd than in other supermarkets.) We then had brunch at Manam Express (also in Molito) after.

Our Sunday morning was spent at home taking care of baby NJ. In the afternoon, we took her to Vermosa Sports Hub located along Daang Hari (the side going to Aguinaldo Hi-way). There is a food bazaar there during weekends but only people 15-65 years old are allowed. We skipped it and just brought our own food (from S&R Imus). We sat down on the grass (there are pockets of grassy spaces there), ate our “baon,” and took turns looking after baby NJ who got herself busy walking around. She was so thrilled upon arriving at Vermosa because the place was massive and she saw a lot of people (with their cars, bikes, and scooters) there.

Weekend Story: Car PMS + Gifted Clothes

Last weekend was a bit busy. On Saturday, I accompanied the hubby to Quezon City for our car’s preventive maintenance. It took a few hours before we were allowed to drive the car again and since we got hungry while waiting, we opted to dine at one of the restos in Banawe before going home in Bacoor. Our Sunday was spent at the condo where we did a mini photoshoot of baby NJ and her gifted clothes just for fun. She’s one lucky baby because she gets a lot of nice dresses, tops, and bottoms from our family and friends, with or without a special occasion.

Weekend Story: Baby NJ’s 1st Birthday Celebration

Last weekend was super fun, memorable, and meaningful. It was baby NJ’s first birthday on Sunday, after all. As what we had planned out, we had a small party at the condo attended only by family. We brought drinks (and the whole house!) to the condo and had food delivered from various sources. We also hired a photographer (thanks again kuya Raul Mansilungan of Love Photography!) who took tons of beautiful photos of our simple celebration.

The hubby and I were exhausted after the party but we were so so happy our rainbow baby is now one. From having an infant, we now have a toddler, yay! Where has the time gone?
