Weekend Story: More Christmas Shopping (Divisoria, S&R, and Greenhills)

Last weekend was terrific. I joined family members in doing more shopping for Christmas. Time to share our blessings with more people dear to us!

On Saturday, I was with Mame and my cousin Jun to buy some Christmas presents at Divisoria. Our feet got soaked in the rain getting in and out of 168 Mall but the trip (and the shopping) was worth it.

Weekend Story: Visit to Manaoag Shrine and Some Shopping

Last weekend was tiring but fun. The hubby and I, along with my SIL Albie and our good friend Melay, paid a visit to the Shrine of the Our Lady of the Holy Rosary in Manaoag, Pangasinan on Saturday. We then spent Saturday and Sunday nights at home in Bacoor.

My brother also met with us on Sunday so we could accompany him in purchasing a new laptop at SM Southmall. We bought some needed stuff for ourselves as well. All three of us would go back to Manila early morning of Monday.

Another Line Increase from Citibank (And How I Reacted to It)

For the first time in my life, I didn’t feel happy after knowing that Citibank has just given me a line increase. I used to get excited whenever I’d get a surprise like this from credit card companies. I remember when I first landed a job after college, all I wanted to do was apply for a credit card. I even jumped for joy when I received my very first! Haha. (Obviously, I know better now.)

line increase
excerpt from the email I received from Citibank

From P45,000, my card’s credit limit is now P55,000. For some people who have cards with credit limit as high as P100,000 or more, this amount is small. But I guess I’m okay with a small credit limit. (My first card only had P15,000.) I’ve never really bothered to ask for a bigger credit limit even if I’m very much qualified now with my higher annual income.

Preoccupied

Have you ever experienced being at a certain place, like your workplace, for instance, and suddenly you feel the urge to do a lot of things which can only be done in other places away from your present position? That’s what I’m feeling right now. I wanna do (and that’s with a very excited and positive attitude!) the following things right at this moment:

1. Go to the bank and deposit some money to my savings account. The last time I did this was May 2011, exactly five months ago. I know I’ve been very generous lately that it seems I have forgotten to care about my savings.

2. Change my foreign currencies (from my recent trip abroad) to local ones. I tried to do this last Sunday but I was not able to because I was hoping the forex rates would still rise in my favor in the coming days. Not so possible, I know.

A Birthday Lunch

Right after hearing mass, we had a birthday lunch in Malabon. Traffic was light so we didn’t have a hard time getting here. Its actually the boyfriend’s uncle’s birthday today and we’re here to join in the fun. The celebration is still ongoing. I had a hearty lunch and I particularly enjoyed the pork caldereta and the gambas. Yummy. I feel very at home; it must be because I’ve been here for a few times already. There’s internet connection so the blogger in me took advantage.

I like it here. The boyfriend’s uncle’s family is big. There are two babies that keep the house alive. They are both healthy and bubbly. They would smile and giggle for no reason. They’re a sight to behold. The boyfriend’s mom is having a great time playing with them. I played with them earlier and it was fun. I even urged the boyfriend to give them strollers come Christmas time, like those uppababy vista strollers I saw in a baby shopping site the other day while picking a gift for J, my best friend’s baby and my god child.
