UPDATE: Guess what, after just my third session, I’m now seeing good results from my IPL treatments at Power Peel Clinic!
I’ve tried getting IPL underarm hair removal treatment from two different beauty clinics before but I haven’t seen any positive results so I was quite wary about getting another treatment from yet another beauty clinic. I wanted to get rid of my underarm hair really bad, though, so when another deal from a Groupon site popped out, I bought four vouchers and decided to try my luck. Again.
This time, the merchant’s name is Power Peel Clinic. Prior to buying the vouchers, some of my blog visitors tipped me about the number of laser hits they got from the clinic which were way higher than what was given to me during my previous IPL treatments. As far as I know, the more laser hits you get, the better for your underarm and the more value for your money.
I scheduled my IPL treatment with Power Peel Clinic last Saturday, December 17 at 10:30 a.m. The clinic was small and not so tidy. It was also quite hard to locate being housed in a condo unit. There was no signage of the clinic in front of the condominium and we had to rely to what little navigation skill we had to get to our destination (i.e. counting the street numbers as we passed by the road and asking random people to point us to the right direction).
Soon I found myself being ushered to the cubicle where Mau (the laser attendant) was waiting for me. I was asked by this girl to lay on the bed and the treatment immediately begun. I got a total of 22 laser hits (mental count, you bet!). This is way better compared to my previous IPL treatments from this beauty clinic that gave me as little as four laser hits in one session. It wasn’t virtually pain-free, though. I’m guessing it’s the same laser machine as the one used on me during my very first IPL treatment.
Two days after my treatment, I noticed that my underarm hair was growing slow. There’s no big improvement yet but I’m hoping I’ll see positive changes in the coming days. My next IPL session at Power Peel Clinic will be sometime in January 2012 and I’m keeping my fingers crossed. ๐

I don’t know yet but I’m seeing good results from my IPL treatments at Power Peel Clinic…will post a detailed review soon. ๐
hi. i just had my first treatment at SkinRus last Jan3. Like you said there’s a considerable result. Since You are on your sixth session, does IPL really make your hairs disappear permanently?
After five IPL sessions with two different clinics, my underarm hair remained as it was prior to the IPL treatments. With my recent and third clinic, I just had my second session last, last Saturday and right now, my underarm hair has less hair na. I’m still keeping my fingers crossed.
Hi lifein, any more landmarks going there?
thanks
Don’t bother. I just found out for myself that IPL doesn’t really stop hair growth. ๐
Hi why not bother?what happen to your IPL session? curious cause i just had may 1st session last week at power peel..
what happened?
Hello Lifein, I just bough vouchers from Metrodeal for PowerPeel’s IPL service. I read your comment regarding your discovery that IPL does not really prevent hair regrowth. Can you elaborate a little bit more. Anyways, I have done my underarms and whole legs at SkinStation and so far I am happy with the results. They are using Diode Laser. However, the cheap price of Metrodeal made me buy the service, even though it is IPL. If you would be kind enough to elaborate on your discovery, I would be very thankful.
