I welcome 2014 with open arms. Hopefully, I’ll be able to do more this year in all the aspects of my life. More in terms of learning new stuff, meeting new friends, gaining new experiences, reading more books, watching more movies, trying out new restaurants, spending more time with family and friends and appreciating life even more.
2013 has been a pretty good year for me. I felt very blessed and satisfied with almost everything. I want this year to be a more beautiful version of that year. The human being in me continues to aspire for something more. No contentment, you’ll say. But I actually feel content and it’s evident in the fact that I’m not setting new goals for this year.
To be very honest, I love and want to keep all that I have right now — family, friends, job, health, well-being, material possessions, etc. If I’m gonna have more, I’ll gladly accept. If I’ll lose some, I guess I’ll have to do with it and move forward, not backward.
Sometimes, you just have to appreciate all the littlest things. Sometimes, you just have to value yourself more. Sometimes, being happy means living the day and making the most of it. Sometimes, we just have to be ourselves and let loose in the combined beauty and oddity of life. No pressures, no expectations. No fear of failures, just pure, unadulterated joy of trying to live our lives to the fullest.
Cheers to this continuation in our existence (new beginning for most of us)! I wish you people a happy, blessed and meaningful new year! 🙂
Happy New Year Edel!!!
