Weekend Story: Chill and More Chill

Last weekend was all about rest. We weren’t able to go biking because 1)the hubby had class in grad school and 2)the weather was gloomy. So, we just did the next best thing — chill. And more chill! In our Bacoor home, that is.

We drove home on Saturday night and went back to Manila early morning of Monday. It was one of those weekends that we just ate, slept, cuddled, and minded our own business. It couldn’t be any better than that!

On Saturday, I woke up late and spent the afternoon with my brother Dan at SM Manila. While he was grocery shopping, I had a pedi at Buff Spa (love their service and how they get to always, always transform my feet from a pair of ugly ducklings to a pair of beatiful swans, lol). Don’t just take my word for it; try it for yourself and you’ll be amazed. Haha.

The hubby and I had a slow and quiet Sunday in Bacoor. I cooked our meals while he did our laundry. Then we cleaned the house together. I also spent an hour or two reviewing the pages of “The Carbohydrate Addict’s Diet” book (which I first mentioned here) because I plan to try the diet soon with the hubby (yes, kinausap ko na sya at payag naman sya basta ako bahala sa preparations):

we can do this!

In the afternoon, we drove to SM Bacoor to buy some supplies and had dinner at Burger King.

We went to bed before midnight after packing our bags.

Enjoy the rest of the week, friends! 🙂

May you choose happiness always,

  1. Is it carb-based diet or is it carb-cutting diet? I’ve been trying to cut carbs but it’s just so hard since most of our local cuisine are dependent on carbs. I’m not a big rice eater, but Filipino food is just too flavorful to eat alone. Also, PIZZA.

    1. Carb-cutting diet in a way, but what’s good about it is you have a reward meal (dinner) where you can have carbs. Daily yan, ha. You just have to eat your reward meal within an hour. It’s okay with me because I eat fast, like I can finish a meal within 15 minutes or less, hahaha. 🙂

      1. Just saw this now. Interesting diet! Normally though, dinner is when it’s recommended to cut the carbs, right? But with this one, it’s the reward! Haha.

        1. Yes, this one’s a different approach. Consistency is the key here and continued weight loss is the result. I’m on Day 15 today and so far, nag-lose na ako ng __ lbs. Promising sya! 🙂

  2. Uy! Gusto ko yang diet diet na yan. Hahahha! 2 years ko ng plano to eh. Hihihi.. A chill weekend is always the best. Kami nag staycation nina Jerellt last weekend. Ayun, magkakasama lang kami pero tulog, kain at kwentuhan lang din ginawa namin. Muntanga lang.

    1. Promising ang diet na ‘to, sis. Mukhang nagkakasundo kami, hahaha. At saka natutuwa ako kasi may reward meal daily, hindi ka made-deprive sa carbs. Yan ang isa pang masaya, staycation with friends! Hehe. 🙂

    1. Waaaaah, salbahe ka Diane, naisip ko tuloy bigla ang Burger King while eating my complementary meal na no carbs…hahaha. 🙂
