Weekend Story: Biking with Friends + Carbohydrate Addiction

These days, the hubby and I get to bike on weekends and we truly enjoy this activity. Last weekend, for instance, we spent our Sunday biking in Bacoor and Las Piñas with my two officemates and a couple of their friends. For this particular ride, we biked a total of 36.2 kms. This is our longest, so far. I can’t wait to break our personal record!

Dealing with Money: How to Find a Financial Balance

I used to hate it when, after receiving a windfall, a big and necessary expense would suddenly come up. It’s like fate is testing my drive to save money. You know, instead of keeping the cash for a brighter future, I get to spend it. But lately, I have realized that God really never fails to provide for my needs. Things could have been bad. What if I didn’t have any moolah and a big and necessary expense has suddenly come up? I should have been grateful instead of whiny.

Weekend Story: Fun with the Gang (a.k.a. Family)

Last weekend was all about the gang, also known as my family. I always have fun with them around, especially Mame who is effortlessly funny. Cliché as it sounds but I look forward to spending time with my family, no matter how short that time is. Our family is far from perfect, but we work things out and the love is always there. I’m also glad that the hubby gets along with them, sometimes even better than I do. Haha.

Zero Car Mortgage!

While working in the office last Chinese New Year, I received this photo from the hubby via Viber with a caption that said, “Happy 5th Birthday Nissen :)” (Nissen is the name of our car.) Suddenly, I felt my eyes brightened and my heart swelled with happiness. I knew it was going to be this month but the exact date eluded my memory. Fully-paid na kami sa car, yeeeeees! One major debt down, one more to go (a.k.a. our Bacoor house)!

Weekend Story: Valentine’s Day 2016

How was your Valentine weekend? Was it filled with love and sweetness? Ayieeeee! As for the hubby and I, we spent it here in Manila. We biked in the morning and had a dinner date at night on February 13th. On Valentine’s Day itself, we biked some more and I worked in the restaurant at night to help ensure our guest couples there were happy and satisfied.

Below are some snapshots from our weekend:
