Webhosting Trouble

I just found out this morning that a part of this blog’s backup has been lost. I checked this blog’s content and learned that my previous posts starting March 9, 2013 up to yesterday have disappeared. I panicked because I didn’t have a backup of those.

I contacted my webhost provider and he said he did something wrong and was trying to correct it. I knew these things happen so I didn’t make a big deal out of it. I just rewrote everything from memory. Good thing I still have them inside my head, although just the short cut versions.

A New Toy!

This may be the happiest Valentine week for me ever because finally, we’ve gotten an iPad mini! I started bugging the hubby about it when February arrived and it was only on Valentine’s Day that he agreed we buy one. I’m so happy!

Now I know why I didn’t get flowers from him last Thursday. Wait, does it really have to be like that? I should have received both! Just kidding. I’d like to think the iPad mini is the best Valentine gift we could give each other. I mean, it’s not just for me, it’s for us. We’re gonna use it both. Conjugal property. Mutual happiness? Achieved!

Photoshopping

I started using Photoshop on my photos in 2003. I had just started working then. I used to replace faces of celebrities with my own face. Haha. I mastered the technique after reading various tutorials online.

But ask me to do the same thing today and I won’t budge. Why? Because I’ve totally forgotten about them now! I was just good then because I had tutorials to follow. My Photoshop skills are now back to zero. Poor me.

The Wait for the iPhone 5

… is finally over. And so are the hubby’s sleepless nights awaiting for his new phone. He’s been very excited about it ever since it was first launched by Apple in September. This Friday is gonna be the day for him. What’s with men and gadgets? I don’t even want to answer that question.

Are you also getting an iPhone 5? If yes, from which network? What made you decide to get it instead of the other best-selling android phone in the market? You know, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. I heard it’s a good phone, too.

My New PC has Arrived!

It’s not everyday that we get to own or use a new PC. In my case, mine finally arrived in the office last week. This development made my day that time. It was like I won the lottery. Haha.

My new PC came complete with the latest operating system (Windows 8!) and a really vast memory. One try and I found out the PC performance was quite impressive. Fast and clear, what more can I possibly ask for?

Globe Loyalty Program

It pays to be loyal. I just found out today that I was already qualified to receive Globe’s loyalty offer after having been a postpaid subscriber for two years. I talked with the CS rep a while ago and was offered gadgets or rebates. I chose the former and was told to expect delivery of the new phone next week. Cool.

Between a Blackberry phone and a Samsung handset, I chose the latter. My decision was actually influenced by the hubby who was more excited than me to get his hands on the android phone. If he remains like that until next week, I might just sell the new phone to him. Haha.
