Last weekend passed by quickly. On Saturday, the hubby and I, along with Mame, attended the christening and first birthday of my newest godchild Maria Justine Riley somewhere in Quezon City. (She’s the daughter of my childhood friend Jenalin.) We drove straight to Bacoor after the event.

Last weekend was spent with family. The hubby and I biked to Mall of Asia (MOA) on Saturday morning and drove to Bacoor in the afternoon with my in-laws, Mame, and my sister Jodie. We ate, slept, chatted, watched TV, surfed online, and laughed a lot. We also did some household chores because that’s what’s bound to happen when moms (two in our case!) are around. Haha. We went back to Manila on Sunday afternoon to prepare ourselves for the coming work week.

Last weekend saw us finishing errands and doing meet-ups with family for some much-needed bonding. (Ang totoo, wala lang kami masyadong social life na mag-asawa kaya madalas pamilya ang kasama namin pag weekend, hahaha.) We had lots of rest this time and we look forward to more in the coming weekends.
Here are some of the things we did:
Last weekend was a mix of play and work. The hubby and I weren’t able to go home in Bacoor again because of our crazy schedule but it was okay. We try to spend time with family as much as possible.
Our Saturday was spent at home with my in-laws. We had a lot of time to rest and sleep. In the morning, the hubby and my FIL went to Banawe again to have the former’s car’s air-con fixed. Remember he’s recently inherited an old car? (The hubby and I committed to shoulder the cost of the air-con repair to help him in the car’s rehabilitation expenses.) Anyway, they got a great deal — PHP8,000 all-in for a good as new car air-con — from one of the repair shops there. The hubby and I were too relieved the air-con’s compressor was still working well, otherwise we would have paid an additional of PHP14,000 for a new one.
No, the hubby and I didn’t literally stay in a local hotel last weekend for some R&R. We just stayed in Manila, period. Haha. We had some errands to attend to and it was a bed weather kind of weekend so instead of going home in Bacoor, we decided to be with our family for some quality time.
It was also my sister Jodie’s birthday last Saturday and she planned a family dinner the next day so we had to be there.
Last weekend was a hectic one but the hubby and I survived the busyness and even had lots of bonding time with family and friends.
Our Saturday morning was spent biking at Mall of Asia. We always feel great during and after our bike ride so we plan to continue doing this for a long time. I now join him also when he bikes during weeknights. #balikalindog
