Weekend Story: Fast-Faced but Fun

Because I got sick two weekends ago, all I wanted for last weekend was to be back to normal. By normal, I meant the hubby and I doing things together, getting some rest, and just living a simple life at home in Bacoor. Last weekend turned out to be just that. It was fast-faced, alright, but it was fun. I really couldn’t ask for more.

On Saturday, the hubby attended his classes in the afternoon while I had a date with Mame at SM Manila. I was supposed to have a “me” time but I decided to be with her at the last minute. First, she accompanied me to Lay Bare for underarm wax treatment. Speaking of wax treatments, I still can’t muster enough courage to get a Brazilian wax even if I’ve been itching to have one in ages. Mataas naman ang tolerance ko sa pain pero ewan ko ba, hindi ko pa magawa! Hahaha. Soon, I guess.

Weekend Story: When Sickness Strikes

Last weekend was like an early test of my faith. I suddenly got sick the day after I published my personal theme for 2016. I may be wrong, but I think I had a mild case of stomach flu because I had diarrhea and fever with muscle pain. The fever and muscle pain went away as soon as I took my first Tempra Forte tablet. The diarrhea, however, continued until Sunday night. I didn’t drink any medicine for it and just had a BRAT diet, replacing the apple sauce with real apples, haha. I also drank a few bottles of Gatorade.

I can’t thank the hubby enough for taking care of me. We drove in Bacoor on Friday night and I was already not feeling well. It could be something I ate that morning. Ang takaw-takaw ko kasi!

2016 Personal Theme: Health + Wealth

Instead of a resolution or a goal post, I thought of writing a personal theme post. For this year, I want to focus on health and wealth. I couldn’t pick a single theme so I opted for a double. Is that good or bad? Haha, actually, I don’t want to know. All I know is that, compared to last year, I have a clearer vision for this year of the things I want to accomplish and most of them revolve around health and wealth. So health and wealth it is!

Eat healthy, get fit, and lose weight. I got a bit disappointed with myself last year for not having enough discipline to reach my target weight. I tried zumba, jogging, and even yoga, but no visible and satisfying results were achieved. 2016 gives me another opportunity to get more serious and do better, so wish me luck, friends!

Weekend Story: New Year 2016

Last New Year weekend was a blast. Both families (Mabalays and Techos) welcomed 2016 at our home in Bacoor. Our house may be tiny but it sure rose up to the challenge of accommodating all 11 of us. I’m happy to report that we were able to move around and sleep comfortably despite the limited space. Haha.

Prior to Media Noche, I hosted a dinner for my godchildren and other friends on the 30th. (Two years ago, I hosted a tea party naman and my godchildren loved it.)

Weekend Story: More Christmas Shopping (Divisoria, S&R, and Greenhills)

Last weekend was terrific. I joined family members in doing more shopping for Christmas. Time to share our blessings with more people dear to us!

On Saturday, I was with Mame and my cousin Jun to buy some Christmas presents at Divisoria. Our feet got soaked in the rain getting in and out of 168 Mall but the trip (and the shopping) was worth it.
