28 Weeks

I reached my 28th week of gestation last Friday, the 24th of August. Gradually, I’m getting nearer and nearer to d-day and I can no longer hide both my excitement and my fear. It’s my first time, after all. Hopefully, everything will be fine.

My MIL has already advised me to schedule the shopping for baby clothes and accessories next month. She thought it was the best time to do so and she even volunteered to accompany me. My mom wanted to come, too. I can imagine it’s gonna be a fun shopping trip at Divisoria with these two women who know a lot about babies and baby care. Haha.

My New Blackberry Curve 9220 from Globe!

After a failed delivery on August 17, I finally got hold of my free phone from Globe’s loyalty program yesterday. It was a brand new Blackberry Curve 9220 valued at P9,900. Remember this post? I changed my mind at the last minute. Instead of the Samsung Galaxy Pocket, I requested for this phone. And it was the best decision, ever.

I don’t plan to use the phone, though. I’m actually selling it to my sister N at a meager price. She said she wanted a BB phone before and when I brought up the matter to her the last time we talked over the phone, she was more than willing to buy my BB phone. Cool.

A Not So Happy Long Weekend

I guess a lot of Filipinos can relate to this. The long weekend that passed wasn’t as happy as we thought it would be. It started last Saturday when we first heard the news about a plane that crashed at sea, a few hundreds of meters away from the Masbate airport. The plane crash resulted to the killing of three out of its four passengers, primary of them was DILG Sec. Jesse Robredo.

What made this tragedy compelling to follow (from the announcement of the news and the search and rescue operations to the retrieval of the victims’ remains and the necrological services) was the fact that the said cabinet member was seen by the majority of Filipinos as a great public servant. Up to this day, the nation is mourning his loss. I don’t know Sec. Robredo on a personal basis but I am one with the Filipino people in recognizing his significant contributions to good governance in our country.

5th Month

Today is a special day for the hubby and me. It’s our fifth month as a married couple and we can’t be more grateful to God for the happy state of our marriage. As they say, so far, so good.

happy at 5 months!

One of the things that make our marriage more exciting and meaningful right now is my pregnancy. If you’ve been reading this blog for some time now, you already know I’m currently on the last week of my second trimester (next week will be the start of my third!). The hubby and I are already looking forward to the arrival of our first child and you could easily feel it from the way we act and speak these days.

Misunderstandings in the Family

There is no such thing as a perfect family. Like, in real life. I know my family isn’t perfect but I’m happy we’re a complete and strong one. There are times when family members get into petty fights but usually, they aren’t enough to break the bond that hold us together.

Misunderstandings in the family happen all the time. It’s part of the normal cycle, I think. In our family, I often get misunderstood for my actions, the sometimes harsh words that come out of my mouth, and the way I try to discipline some family members that are pasaway (brat or troublesome). So it’s not unusual that misunderstandings between some family members and me ensue without warning. It’s a good thing everything gets fixed peacefully in the end.

Review: My Zalora Online Shopping Experience

Zalora is a local online shopping site. I had the chance of trying out its services last Monday and would like to share my shopping experience with you today. To be honest, what made me excited to shop at Zalora was the P500 voucher I received after signing up for their online newsletter. (I think I saw a link somewhere, got curious and suddenly decided to find out what the fuzz was all about.)

Zalora has a decent site. It looks a bit crowded but is quite navigable and user-friendly. There are categories provided to guide you when shopping. But first, to be able to shop, I registered an account with them. Then I started browsing through my catalog of choice. I ended up getting a maternity dress and a pair of flats to go with it.
