Credit Rebate from Citibank

I was surprised to see my Citibank billing statement this morning. It says there I was given a P200 credit rebate because of the purchases I made from September 19 to October 15, 2013. Wow, thanks! P200 is still P200. This definitely made me smile.

Citibank (Cebu Pacific Citi Card, to be exact) is currently my only credit card at present. Because the hubby and I wanted to cut our credit card spending and reduce our debts in general, we ditched our other cards and retained just one each. It’s proven to be a good decision because now, we are more conscious about how we use our credit cards. Every peso borrowed using them are well-calculated. Haha.

Shopping and More Shopping

I know I only have a certain budget allotted for shopping but I don’t know, I can’t seem to stop buying stuff. It all started with my little shopping trips during weekends last month, followed by a big shopping spree at Landmark with my girls one Saturday and a couple of impulsive shopping every now and then. I need to stop already because I’m running out of cash.

Discipline, that’s what I badly need right now. But I’d like to think my shopping is still under control. That’s because I keep track of my spending. I have an idea of how much I spent and can spend. Plus, many of the stuff I bought are Christmas presents. I am going to make people happy with them, so I guess I shouldn’t feel guilty at all. Haha.

Landmark Shopping with my Girls

I dream of the time when I could be seen shopping with my daughters. Not one, but two. But since I don’t have any daughters yet, shopping with the girls in my life will do for now. These girls are my mom and my two sisters. They went with me last Saturday to Landmark Makati to shop, shop, and shop.

I just love shopping with my girls. With them, I can peruse through racks and racks of clothes without worry. With them, I can try on clothes for as long as I want. With them, I can shop, then stop and eat and go back to shopping again. These things I cannot do freely with my girl friends because we always have limited time when we’re out shopping together.

Good Finds from Saizen-The District, Imus

After 10 years, we were able to visit The District again last, last Sunday afternoon. We actually attended the birthday celeb of a friend’s son held at Blackbeard’s Seafood Island, one of the restaurants at that mall. After a long, sumptuous lunch using our bare hands to eat, I asked the hubby to check out Saizen with me before we went home and he agreed.

I only had one item in mind and that was a belt. I bought two basic belts (made from faux leather) at Saizen before and loved how sturdy they were. I lost one of them and decided to get a replacement. When I saw the lovely belts on offer at Saizen, I had to buy not just one but four! It was one of those moments when my EQ was at its lowest. I didn’t hesitate to grab four belts and even added more items in my basket. Haha.

Christmas Gift Ideas for Dads

Unlike mothers, fathers are kinda hard to buy presents for. This is especially true when you’re a girl and you want the best Christmas gift for your dad. When I married the hubby, I got another dad (his father) to think of when buying presents for every occasion there is.

Luckily for me, both my dad and the hubby’s dad are easy to please. My dad has always wanted the same thing for Christmas — clothes. So I just go with him to the mall and let him choose what kinds of clothes he wants for himself. As with my FIL, he is very fond of tools. You know, those screw drivers, pliers and stuff. He likes to collect them. So I might just browse through shopping sites like reid’s site that sells these stuff and hope I could find something there to give him on Christmas Day.

Grouponing Again

I got hooked on groupon sites sometime in 2011. Back then, I would use my spare money buying vouchers from different merchants without hesitation. The distribution was like this: 80% food/restaurants, 10% household items and 10% beauty and pampering services. It was always a great feeling knowing I had saved a lot from all these purchases.

But then, not all merchants treated me well. While some merchants were good and delivered on their promise, there were those that didn’t live up to my expectations or were just pain in the a$% with their poor service. And I believe I share this same sentiment with other loyal groupon customers. It eventually came to a point when I lost interest in patronizing these groupon sites. I finally stopped grouponing in early 2012.
