More Time with Family

After I got married, I have to admit I had less time to spend with my family. With family, I mean my parents and my three siblings. When I was still single, I used to be a homebody who spent most of my time with them. When the hubby came into my life, I had to share some of my time with him also.

It’s a good thing I have a husband who understands my need to check on my family, especially my parents, from time to time. It’s a good thing also that we live near them, well, technically. My in-laws’ place in Manila (where we stay at least twice or thrice a week) and my parents’ place are just a few steps away from each other.

Couple Time

When you’re married, it’s still very important to have couple time. You know, that time when it’s just you and your husband/wife. It could be a dinner date, a visit to the spa for some pampering, a joint shopping trip or even just a plain sightseeing together at a park or some place romantic.

Personally speaking, I think this is very doable. The hubby and I just have to figure out the best time for us to have our own couple time. Normally, we go out during weeknights and weekends. I dunno if it will be hard to go out once we have kids to take care of, but I know of other married couples with children who still find time to go out together, just them.

Birthday Wishes

To the man I chose to marry, may you continue to work with me towards a beautiful marriage filled with love, respect, faith and commitment.

To the man I chose to be my life partner, may you continue to share my values, ideals, goals and dreams. Together, let’s live simply and meaningfully and without regrets. Let’s believe that just like in fairy tales, we’ll have our own happily-ever-after ending, too.

Tipid Mode

Weekends are a great opportunity to slow down. To do simple things that make you and your loved ones happy. To just sit back and relax. To unwind and take everything lightly. To rest while we still can. Because before we know it, work is staring us in the eye again.

Weekends are also a time when we get to spend more money than usual. Like when going to the mall to dine out, watch a movie or simply to shop. This long weekend is no different for my husband and me. We’re staying home and do not have any agenda to go out of town. We’re on tipid mode, after all. (In English, tipid means to observe prudence in spending or to tighten one’s belt.)

6th Month

My marriage, not my pregnant belly. Another month has passed, and I can’t get over the fact that time flies by so quickly. I guess I better take down notes lest I forget all the happy moments and the little milestones we’ve experienced in the past six months of our togetherness.

Marriage is a delicate thing to handle. While we can never be experts on it, we sure can make ours a good one. With a baby coming soon, our start-up family is on the verge of taking off! What better way to celebrate than with a silent prayer? God is really good. Thank you so much for all the blessings, dear God.

5th Month

Today is a special day for the hubby and me. It’s our fifth month as a married couple and we can’t be more grateful to God for the happy state of our marriage. As they say, so far, so good.

happy at 5 months!

One of the things that make our marriage more exciting and meaningful right now is my pregnancy. If you’ve been reading this blog for some time now, you already know I’m currently on the last week of my second trimester (next week will be the start of my third!). The hubby and I are already looking forward to the arrival of our first child and you could easily feel it from the way we act and speak these days.
