Weekend Story: Eat. Sleep. Play. Repeat.

Last weekend was easy and fun. The hubby and I drove to Bacoor as early as Friday night and went back to Manila early morning today to face yet another work week.

Our Saturday was spent at home eating, sleeping, playing, and repeating the cycle to our heart’s delight. We reserved Sunday for going out when we went to church to hear the morning mass and drove straight to S&R Alabang and ATC after to eat and do some needed retail therapy.

A trip to S&R is never complete for me without getting a cup of my fave Blue Bunny ice cream (choco brownie extreme flavor). That time, I also got a choco pecan muffin to go with it. So as not to feel guilty about the calories, I shared both with my husband. Haha.

Did I mention I scored a black cotton dress at S&R as well? The label says it’s from Cotton On. The dress screams comfort and effortless styling. It was also discounted at Php499.75 (from Php699.75) so I got it without second thoughts. I love dresses and I especially love those that I can just wear as is on weekends. Hehehe.

On the domestic front, I cooked chicken noodle soup which we had for merienda on Saturday. Tamang tama kasi umuulan-ulan nun. There was more than enough for us that we had it for breakfast the next day. I paired it with hot chocolate and pandesal and it turned out to be the best combo, ever!

I know I’ve shared this with you before but this is the first time I’m showing you a picture of our malunggay tree. There’s no stopping it from thriving! Nakakatuwa talaga! When the time comes that we’d live more regularly in Bacoor, gardening will surely be one of my priorities.

On Sunday night, I wanted to watch movies but our cable provider Cignal didn’t have interesting ones. I remember last weekend, my brother and I chanced upon a 2013 American drama film entitled “Labor Day.” It starred Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin. It was about an escaped convict who formed a beautiful relationship with a depressed mother and her caring son during a Labor Day weekend. We liked everything about the movie: the pie making, the tango dance, the baseball game, the check encashment and all those funny and touching scenes. The story was fresh and compelling and it had a well-deserved ending for the main characters. But I digress.

The hubby and I called it a day when the clock struck 11. Another beautiful weekend has ended and a new one is soon to unfold. Cheers to that! 🙂

May you choose happiness always,

  1. We caught Labor Day on HBO (or was it Star Movies?) last weekend too! I was bored at the first hour but glad we stuck with it. I loved the ending! Also, the dress is a great find. 🙂

    1. Hi Dani! Welcome to my blog. It was a nice movie, we were glad we finished it ’till the end. Thanks, I can’t wait to wear the dress, prolly this weekend! 🙂

  2. Lol, i second the motion on how difficult it is to look for clothes to wear on the weekend! That dress is a steal! I love how it’s flowy and can we worn with literally anything!

    1. I’m sure kahit ubos energy nyo, masaya pa rin. Hehe.

Parang gusto ko ding taniman ung harap ng bahay namin for the meantime. Or yung pwedeng maiwan dun.

  4. My weekend is ngarag as always hahaha kakaisip about everything 🙂

S&R is love 🙂 Although lagi lang ako naki-ride sa may ID haha

PS for the glittery shoes, sa CLN ko siya nabili. Then yung isa sa Butterfly Twist, naka-sale kasi. I think meron din sa Payless Shoesource

    1. Ganyan siguro talaga pag matatalino gaya mo, haha. 🙂
