The recent long weekend gave the hubby and I ample time to bond with our family in our Bacoor home and outside. What a great way to end November, I’d say. Hello, December! I know you’re gonna be merry and bright.
On Saturday afternoon, I accompanied my brother to the mall to buy a new cabinet for his clothes before meeting Mame and my cousin Jun at my siblings’ place. The three of us were then picked up by the hubby so we could hear the anticipated mass before driving home in Bacoor.
Our Sunday was pretty laid back. We all had a relaxing time at home doing almost nothing but preparing meals and running a few errands. We slept a lot and ate a lot. We chatted a lot and laughed a lot (I guess that’s a given when Mame is around, haha). So as not to bore our two house guests, we took them out that night to eat and just be happy. First, we drove to Star Mall Prima in Bacoor and later, to Evia Lifestyle Center in Las Piñas. Both places can be found on Daang Hari Road which made our trip quite easy.
B.A.G.A. Manila invades Bacoor
Star Mall Prima and Evia Lifestyle Center were very much alive that night. There were Christmas bazaars packed with people. The food stalls were filled with hungry diners while those merchants selling dry goods were busy attending to excited shoppers.

One interesting merchant I noticed had a table full of guitars and bass amplifiers (that look like those superb MusiciansFriend bass amplifiers). Pinoys are known to be music lovers so I guessed that particular stall didn’t go home without a huge sale.
Monday turned out to be just as relaxing. Mame requested for inihaw na liempo and bangus for lunch and she got them.
But I guess the spotlight should go to my frittata. It was born out of the picadillo we had the day before. Don’t you think it’s smart and fun to give new life to a leftover dish? I do. It was the first time I cooked one (I’m only used to making omelette!) and it turned out fine, and tasty, I must add. Haha.
The hubby and I, along with our two house guests, left Bacoor for Manila in the afternoon. Catching a sight of Family Mart as we turned right on Kalaw Ave. got us instantly tempted to stop and buy ourselves some unli twirl. I missed it and so did my companions!
sabi kasi nila wacky shot daw!
We capped off the long weekend through a dinner with the hubby’s family at SM Manila. You guys should check out Mad for Pizza because their rice meals are not just tasty and reasonably priced but also come in big servings. We promised to try their pizzas on our next visit.
And that, my friends, was how our long weekend came to pass. Tell me all about yours! 🙂
WAAAAH your Sunday feast looks awesome! We’d usually have Inihaw na Bangus and that kind of dipping sauce at home. But wasn’t able to go home over the weekend. HUHU Now I miss my Mom.
