So, the past weekend has been very engaging and fun for me. I participated in the Canon Photomarathon 2010 and spent the day eating, brisk walking and taking pictures with blogger friends Nicely (a.k.a my Superfriend), Arvin, JP, Alex and Vince. The three of us (Arvin, Nicely and me) even sneaked out of the venue late in the afternoon to take a peek into the Nido Science Discovery Center where we got free entrance and a personalized tour of the place courtesy of Arvin’s contact. I recommend this interactive science center to all kids and kids-at-heart. It’s very educational and entertaining.
iPod Touch 4G is My 2010 All-Occasion Present
As an all-occasion present for this year, I got a sleek and shiny iPod Touch 4G from the boyfriend and his sister. The three of us have this small tradition where we give expensive gifts to each other yearly. We call it the all-occasion present. Yes, you read that right. It’s supposed to cover all the personal/group celebrations we’re having this year.
meet Chloe, my latest gadget acquisition!
Here’s how it applies: the first two givers pick a gift for the receiver and share in the cost of it. The cycle continues until all three of us have received our presents. Cool, ayt? Personally, I think it’s a great way of pampering myself with nice stuff while making two souls happy at the same time.

An Impulsive Shopping Spree and BPI’s Latest Credit Card Promo
I don’t have a BPI credit card but the boyfriend’s sister has one. That’s why a few weeks after BPI launched one of its exciting promos, I ended up shopping with her. Actually, I didn’t see it coming last Monday night. I thought I’d just stroll the mall with her and the boyfriend while the rest of the Philippines was busy finding out who were leading the polls (read: barangay elections). But, before I knew it, I had already committed to pay for my purchases with clasped hands and a silly grin.
So, what is this particular promo all about? BPI credit cards let you shop and do deferred payment at 0% interest for a minimum purchase of P5,000. It’s quite self-explanatory if you’ll ask me. You shop for a few months worth of supplies and pay for your purchases in installment within six long months. It’s practical and at the same time, convenient. And who wouldn’t be tempted if there are tons of participating stores offering the same promo mechanics?

Six Years and Counting
Yesterday was sort of a milestone for the boyfriend and me. It was our anniversary as couple. Six blissful years of being together. And counting. Ours is a relationship that have, so far, withstood the tests of deception, infidelity, boredom, fading love and other foul behaviors and actions. Yes, we are not the perfect couple but we try to be the best person for each other.
I’m thankful that we have gone this far and yet we are still very much in love. He makes it a point that we see each other everyday and never fails to make me laugh. I, on the other hand, have always been the supportive girlfriend. I motivate him to pursue his interests and achieve more and not settle for second best.
Our Birthday Trip: Day 3 and Day 4 in Boracay
This is the second part of my first Boracay getaway with the boyfriend, our birthday trip to be exact. You can read the first part here.
If there’s one thing you’ll love about Boracay, it’s the locals. They are behind any pleasant experience you’ll get in the island. From the porters and peddlers to the by-standers on the beach, they’re all very accommodating. They will point you to the right direction if you’re lost or can’t seem to find a particular place. But of course there are still those folks who take advantage of hapless tourists, but they’re only a handful.

Our Birthday Trip: Day 1 and Day 2 in Boracay
This is the first of two parts of my first Boracay getaway with the boyfriend, our birthday trip to be exact. You can read the second part here.
During the last four days and three nights, the boyfriend and I were in Boracay to celebrate our birthdays and give ourselves a break from the hustles and bustles of the city. We were happy that Boracay was enjoying nice weather during our visit. Two straight days without rain and just drizzles on our way back to Manila. We couldn’t ask for more.
