Weekend Story: Double Celebration at F Restaurant, F1 Hotel BGC

Last weekend was a blast. We had a double celebration in the family: Mame’s 62nd birthday and my PILs’ 45th wedding anniversary. From the initial plan to have a staycation at some hotel to the bright idea of a night swimming in Pansol, we ended up trooping to F1 Hotel on Saturday night for a dinner buffet. Ang hirap talaga pag magkakaiba ang schedule!

There’s not much review of the buffet offered by the F Restaurant (a.k.a. F All Day Dining) of F1 Hotel BGC online so I thought of sharing some of my insights here. Well, based from our experience, the buffet had a decent food selection for its discounted price. You know, just the right amount of well-prepared food to make you feel full and satisfied but way far from what Spiral by Sofitel or even Vikings and Buffet 101 offer.

Weekend Story: Mother’s Day Celebration + National Elections 2016

Last weekend was great. Mame, my brother Dan, and my sister Nyam joined the hubby and I in our Bacoor home. We drove there on Saturday night and went back to Manila on Monday morning for the national elections.

The hubby and I had an impromptu Captain America movie date on Saturday noon. He said he wanted to treat me because it’s Mother’s Day the next day. Para matuwa raw ang aming angel son Pippo sa kanya. Haha. In fairness, we enjoyed our time together.

Weekend Story: Fun with the Gang (a.k.a. Family)

Last weekend was all about the gang, also known as my family. I always have fun with them around, especially Mame who is effortlessly funny. Cliché as it sounds but I look forward to spending time with my family, no matter how short that time is. Our family is far from perfect, but we work things out and the love is always there. I’m also glad that the hubby gets along with them, sometimes even better than I do. Haha.

Weekend Story: More Biking + Work on Chinese New Year

The hubby is going crazy over his mountain bike (MTB). He cleans his bike daily. He wants to bike every day. He thinks about his bike and what to improve on it all the time. Minsan hindi na normal at magastos pa, pero pinapabayaan ko na lang kasi nakikita ko naman na nag-eenjoy sya. At ako rin! Ang motto ko kasi, “if you can’t beat them, join them.” Haha.

As early as Friday night, we were already in Bacoor because the hubby didn’t have classes the next day.

Weekend Story: Fast-Faced but Fun

Because I got sick two weekends ago, all I wanted for last weekend was to be back to normal. By normal, I meant the hubby and I doing things together, getting some rest, and just living a simple life at home in Bacoor. Last weekend turned out to be just that. It was fast-faced, alright, but it was fun. I really couldn’t ask for more.

On Saturday, the hubby attended his classes in the afternoon while I had a date with Mame at SM Manila. I was supposed to have a “me” time but I decided to be with her at the last minute. First, she accompanied me to Lay Bare for underarm wax treatment. Speaking of wax treatments, I still can’t muster enough courage to get a Brazilian wax even if I’ve been itching to have one in ages. Mataas naman ang tolerance ko sa pain pero ewan ko ba, hindi ko pa magawa! Hahaha. Soon, I guess.

Weekend Story: Laundry Day Saturday and Mother’s Day Sunday

The hubby and I were supposed to go home in Bacoor as early as Friday night last weekend. I was, however, asked by Mame and my sister Jodie to accompany them to the doctor on Saturday morning. They weren’t sick, though. They just wanted to have a check-up with a dermatologist for possible treatment of facial warts.

When Saturday came, Jodie got lazy to get up early and Mame suddenly asked to cancel our lakad at the last minute. I was a bit upset because they wasted my time but when Mame told me she’d join us in Bacoor and celebrate Mother’s Day with me, my disappointment went away.
